It has been a fulfilling week, running errands and having sleepless nights busy with work.
I know I sound a little sadistic saying that. I’m crazy like that.
A and I met up with a programmer to discuss how we can improve The Tiramisu Hero‘s website.
Wish things could happen more quickly! I want a prettier website for our tiramisu! Heh.
It was dressed down Monday but I always loved the whole long tee + leggings getup.
C-O-M-F-Y-!
Sorry ah. Showed you a bit of my thunder thighs in the picture below. Hahahaha!

It was QQ’s birthday so we hopped down to Loof to meet the birthday girl.
She looks not a day older than 22, doesn’t she?
Can’t believe she is already xx! (女人的年龄是秘密)
A looks fucking chio here. LOL!

My favourite girl and I.
Note to self: Need to trim eyebrows.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY QQ! ♥
- – -
A and I woke up bright and early the following day because it’s a BIG day for The Tiramisu Hero!
It is the first day Sir Antonio move into hic’Cup at 100am mall at Amara Hotel!
This is Sir Antonio in his draw-me-like-one-of-your-french-girls pose. Hahaha!

hic’Cup is a concept cafe where they serve both sweet and savoury crepes, as well as a whole range of interesting drinks.
Don’t expect it to be the typical coffee-or-tea kind of cafe!
I love their Asian Soup, which is better known as Cheng Tng to most of us.
I must make it a point to try their other fruity mixes the next time I’m there too! AND THE CREPES TOO!
They serve their drinks in jars like that. So cute right?

It’s near one of the main entrances of the mall so it’s really quite hard to miss!

The two mascots are really cute too! Sir Antonio’s new friends! Heh!

That’s us! Hahahaha. Small but mighty! :p
We’ll be serving our bestseller MommaHero here!

On top of that, this will also be the only distributor so far carrying our MiniHero cupcakes!
Stenciling service will also be made available here at hic’Cup!

If you are clueless about what I’m yakking on and on about,
The Tiramisu Hero is a tiramisu specialty store A and I started together some 5 months back.
We operate online and currently we have 2 distributors.
Here are their locations. (Please pardon me for the advert haha!)
I also brought A to Shunji Matsuo @ 313 to get our hair trimmed.
My hair is getting so thick at the top and is in urgent need of some loving from my stylist Caely.
I decided to just get a quick trim.
Wanna keep my hair long (by the way, I’ve been saying I wanna keep my hair long since I was 18) so wanna try to stop cutting so much.
Hee!
And yay! The fringe is much lighter now. Phew!

Oh yes. I brought my boots out for another walk too.
They are from Steve Madden as I’ve previously mentioned.
There’s a sale going on now! Time to shop! :B

- – -
I also love my new top from Runway Bandits!
Maybe you can’t see it clearly from the pictures here but it’s this gorgeous white sleeveless vest.
Check out their website for more designs! They don’t get 17k LIKES on Facebook for no reason ok!
Special thanks to Swee for throwing in the scarf too! LOVE IT!
I made a turban with that! Hahahaha.
By the way, let me know if you wanna know how to do the turban (or other designs you can do with a scarf)
and I’d be glad to do a tutorial on it!

SOOO glad I finally got my brows trimmed! :p
And shoutout to Swee, I love the scarf!

I’m super thrilled about the Laneway Festival happening this Saturday at Gardens By The Bay!
Thanks to FIJI Water, I’ll be catching Bat For Lashes, Gotye, Kimbra, Kings of Convenience
and many other bands and solo acts this weekend!
A has been going on and on about Kings of Convenience since I met her,
so glad I’ll finally be able to catch them live (with A!) real soon!
Please let the weather be nice and cool this Saturday!!
If you are also interested in Laneway Festival Singapore, you can read up more about it here.
Tickets start from $145 and it’s happening 12pm onwards this Sat at The Meadow, Gardens By The Bay.

It’s the weekend again!
Not like it makes too much of a difference for me because weekends are as crazy as weekdays,
BUT weekends are always happier days because it means all my friends will not be working
and everyone around me is in a better mood. Heh!
A and I checked out our second distributor earlier this week!
It has really been quite a ride for the both of us since The Tiramisu Hero started.
Honestly, this is almost like a make-or-break thing for me.
I have always been quite a pessimistic person, always thinking about
the “what ifs” and contingency plans in case things fail.
But A has done a lot teaching me to always look at the bright side of things and think good thoughts.
I’ve been daydreaming quite a lot about the big plans and the good times ahead since I met her.
I guess it’s a good thing ya?
Our little humble The Tiramisu Hero has been around for about 5 and a half months now.
From having our company registered, getting our licensed kitchen, our first magazine feature,
securing our first distributor at Haji Lane till now,
I can see that we are gradually fulfilling our dreams, slowly but surely.
It has been a very exhausting 5 months for us.
Since the day we started this venture, we have hardly had the time for quality time together (and quality sleep)!
But we have learnt so much together and I feel really blessed that things are working out alright so far.
Just this week, we have just secured out second distributor.
I think we both did a little happy dance in our heads the moment the agreement was signed.

And with a new distributor, it means more work for us!
We spent a lot of time preparing the decorative materials we need for the shop, prepare the agreements, etc.
Here are some new doodles I did!
I think A and I make a great team – I draw the doodles and she would digitalize them and compose them into what you see.
She deserves a BIG BIG BIG BIG GOLD STAR! :D

And here it is – our new “Draw Me Like One Of Your French Girls” Sir Antonio decal in the shop!

I feel like a proud mother.
I cannot imagine the exhilaration and sense of achievement I would get if I were to own my first store one day.
I might just break down in tears and laugh hysterically at the same time! Hahaha.
For everyone who works in Tanjong Pagar area and loves tiramisu, good news for you!
The Tiramisu Hero will now be available for sales at the new mall 100am located at Amara Hotel.
It would be in this cute little concept cafe called hic’Cup (opposite Starbucks).
Do drop by and grab your little pick-me-up if you need one!
Will show you guys around the cafe when I get more pictures of the cafe! :)
Oh I took some vain outfit shots when we were doing our recee at the shop though. Hahaha!

I think A doesn’t understand why I am so vain.
And more good news!

Another Europe trip is in the pipeline!
This time round, we will be going to Paris (erm.. again), London and Amsterdam!
It would also be a double-couple trip out with Sinsin and her beau LTK!
Happening in April and I can’t wait for it any longer.
A and I sure deserve a good break and we have decided to make this our first company trip.
Flight and accommodation courtesy of Sir Antonio!
“Thank you Boss!”

I also attended Kiehl’s Blogger Event for their AMAZING Midnight Recovery Concentrate!
But before that, outfit pictures. Hurhur.
I’m wearing this super comfortable pullover from Runway Bandits!
I LOVE layering like that!

The Kiehl’s event was held at their office in Winsland House.
It was just a small cosy affair but the girls at Kiehl’s did a great job with hosting the event!
I also had a lot of fun meeting and catching up with my friends!

I got presents from Kiel’s too!
I’m already using the Midnight Recovery Concentrate currently and I love it SO much.
So happy I got another bottle, can last me a couple more months. Hahaha!
I haven’t tried the eye cream though.
Will try it real soon. I’m sure it’s gonna be as awesome as the concentrate! :D
That’s my seat in the room, right next to Bea and Valerie!

Took polaroids with the girls too!

All the many chio girlfriends. Hahaha.
My line of work rocks.

They almost looked like they were dancing but no (haha!) Valerie was the magician’s pretty assistant!

And my favourite spider girl, Tricia!
Hahaha. This actually started during the 校花校草 days where I was supposed to be the spidermom and she’s the daughter.
Can’t remember where that came from anymore. LOL.
Tricia’s looking smashing hot as usual!

And the funniest beauty blogger ever, Evonne!

Also met Tammy for the first time. Really friendly (and mad cool) chick!

Rachie from the Cambelles of course.
My ex-clubbing kaki. HAHAHAHA!

The nicest girl, Nadia!
And Fidelis and Jacelyn. :)

And of course, the lovely girls from Kiehl’s.
Thank you so much for having me at the wonderful event!

And such good products need one good photo!
This is not an ad and I’m really recommending this to anyone who wants needs a boost in their nightly skincare regime.
Good stuff must share.
If I don’t remember wrongly, Yutaki uses this too. :D

Thank you for the gift, Kiehl’s!

I attended the Guess Watches event some time back and have yet blogged about it, so here it is!
I have never owned a Guess watch but I always remembered Guess as being loud and ‘bling’.
After the event, I realized that they have so many different styles of watches,
and there are so many that I cannot take my eyes off! From the loud, bling and stylish ones,
to simple classic designs – every different style.
During the event, I was supposed to style a model with Guess apparels to match a Guess watch of my choice.
And of course, who else will be a better model than my favourite girl, A!
I met other well known bloggers like my Velda, Beatrice, Zoe and Rachell.
And also got the chance to meet Vel’s model Alessia again! Haven’t seen her since New Face time!
And if you don’t know, I actually got to know Velda and Alessia during New Face days back in 2006.
Those were the days! OK sorry I digressed. So at the event, we each had a model and
we had a pick a watch for the model and pick an outfit for the model to suit the watch.
Here are some pictures at the event!

Rachell and her model.

Velda and Beatrice with their models.

And of course, A and I!

I picked for her was a classic men size black/white dress watch. I always loved watches with a bigger face,
somehow it makes the wrist look more slender!
The whole black outfit makes the white face of the dress watch pops too! One can never go wrong with a dress watch!
And of course, to look like we are a team, I chose to be decked in black with pretty sequin details. *grins*

I think watches have evolved into a great accessory over the years.
With so many different designs and styles available in the market now, it’s hard to just stop at having one watch!
I should stop spending my money on bracelets and bangles and start getting good watches that
will not only to tell the time but also as a gorgeous wrist candy!
Just like the shoes, a correct watch will complete a look or even enhance one’s outfit.
The event was hosted by Noel who is also a blogger himself!
There are also some lucky readers who were invited to the event as well. More pictures!

If you love Guess and their watches, then you’ve got to check out this new microsite!
There is also a video on the microsite where you get to see us explain about
how we chose to dress up our models the way we did (where I had problems pronouncing femininity,
I still have problems pronouncing it now haha!) and also get a chance to win vouchers and
even watches from Guess from the giveaway!
Do also cast your votes for the looks you like best, all the girls did a fabulous job so
I’m sure you’re going to have a headache choosing what you liked best.
But if you think I did ok, don’t forget to vote for me here!
Heh! And good luck from me to you for the giveaway contest!
Here’s a video of the event for you to get a feel of the party that day!
Guess Watch Styling Event from reelitytv on Vimeo.
Lastly, I also want to share this gorgeous pair of watches A and I picked from Guess.
Thank you for the generosity, Guess! We are so in love with our new wrist candies! <3

It was such a difficult choice to just choose one! Look at these other gorgeous wrist candies from Guess!

Christmas came early for me because I’ve received many other presents!
I am loving my Aztec print blazer from Runway Bandits!
It’s really soft and light, keeps me warm in December’s weather
but not make me sweat buckets when I have to run errands outdoors.
Thumbs up!
(Sorry ah! No makeup! Hahaha.)

I also received my first book clutch (that REALLY looks like a book!)
It’s LOLITA! :D
I am loving these handmade book clutches from My Jotter Book, so so cute!
They have many other designs and it’s really hard trying to pick one out of so many.

I also did a hair show for my salon Shunji Matsuo 313.
Actually the hair show was the reason why my hair became this colour, but the colour is really growing on me.
Call me superstitious but I think this hair colour makes me huat huat. Hahaha!

And some pictures taken from fellow blogger Felicia! Thanks Felicia! :D

This Christmas season has been the busiest for me out of the 27 Christmases I’ve had before.
A and I have been CRAZY running around trying to fulfill all the orders we have for The Tiramisu Hero!
It sure feels good when I know I’m working my ass off for something of my own!
We also attended Lianie’s wedding two days back, will be back with more pictures real soon!
Till then, don’t forget to drop by tomorrow evening to check out a mega entry I’m putting up to
showcase some of the most awesome online stores!
This is no ordinary feature because all the online stores are handpicked and chosen from a whole list.
See you tomorrow!

It has been an overwhelming week for me, busy as a bee.
I tell myself everyday that this will all be worth it and one day, I will be able to see the returns.
The Tiramisu Hero is almost 3 months old now.
Despite being propelled straight into “auntie-hood” – stuck in the kitchen all day and only shopping in baking supplies stores,
it gives me a great sense of achievement watching the business grow bit by bit everyday.
We’ve been having return customers and good feedback too! They always make our day.
If you are one of those people who has supported The Tiramisu Hero in one way or another,
I want to say a big THANK YOU to you from the bottom of my heart. :)
I used to be a worry wart who would only think about the bad side of everything.
“What if it fails?”
“What if we keep losing money? How long should we hold on for?”
“Where will it takes us?”
“Will we be able to earn enough to move on to the next step?”
I kept thinking to myself that if this were to fail, I’ll just have to go back to a 9-to-5 job
and go head-to-head with the fresh grads again since I only have one year of working experience.
To be honest, it still worries me now everytime I have such thoughts.
A has been the rock in my life.
We set up a little office area in her bedroom and the two of us are just pretty much stuck here on a daily basis
when we are not at the kitchen – trying to take care of other stuff like inventory, accounts, logistics & other small stuff.
The frequent late nights sometimes drive us a little cranky and more irritable.
We bicker a lot more often than before, but I appreciate the support and love she gives me.
We live and breathe tiramisu now and I hope tiramisu will also be the one that will see us through and bring us closer
to our dream of having our own little shop and eventually being able to afford a home together.
This last one month has been really exciting for A and me!
Thinking back, it was really crazy of us to come up with the idea of starting a business within one night!
From registering of the website, to sourcing for suppliers to starting our business officially, it took us barely two (sleepless) weeks.
We are still a really teeny weeny company but at least we are now registered and
have our own little legal central kitchen.
We dream all day about having our own store and hopefully we’ll be able to carry more than just tiramisu too! :)
We were really lucky so far.
We were invited by a popular local magazine to be featured in one of their delivery food spread feature!
A and I couldn’t stop smiling to ourselves when we read that particular email together.
(still smiling when I think of it now)
Hope everything will go smoothly, and I can’t wait to have our first The Tiramisu Hero magazine feature!! * big grin*
We have also been working closely with this fashion/homewares boutique at Haji Lane too.
Apart from ordering online and doing self collection for our tiramisu,
our customers will soon be able to shop for some of the more popular tiramisu products from Haji Lane!
It is not our own store but we will be having a small little corner in the shop!
The official opening will be on 3rd November so A and I are like mad busy now!
Will definitely keep you guys updated. :)

Apart from that, our cupcakes (and myself) were also featured in an upcoming PUMA shoot
in conjunction with their Puma Social Campaign.
Here are some pictures!

I also had the chance to meet Dawn Yeoh.

And Romeo Tan.

I gave some MommaHero to Dawn, Romeo and some friends from PUMA too.
Totally feel like a proud Mother when they said the packaging was cute. Hahaha!

Big thank you to Deanna and the rest of the team for the fun-filled shoot!

*ding* Proud Mother smile!

GO SIR ANTONIO!! Aza aza fighting! ♥
xxx
Took my family and A to the Singapore Flyer and checked out this 6D show they have.
The kids had a lot of fun!
It was pretty awesome and I also brought my new parka/blazer from Runway Bandits out to meet the sun.

Totally dig the shoes from Soeurs too! I’ve been wearing them almost everyday. Heh!
You can find Soeurs at Level 2 in Cineleisure.

It was Donn’s birthday too.
A’s Dad was not in town so they took a family photo with his Dad on Skype. So cute right?
Makes me miss my parents. :’(

I also met up with Wei Yen and got my goodies from her store, The Pony Party!
She’s a really nice girl and all the stuff she passed me are so adorable!!

Bought new shades too! Hehe.
Since I’m so busy stuck at work all the time. Online shopping is really the only way out to do my retail therapy.
Got these from Smart Buy Glass! :D
Got a hard time picking out a suitable pair because they have SO MUCH!
Nice nice?

Thank God for online shopping to keep me sane. Haha!
xxx
A and I also checked out a new cafe at McCallum Street.
We spoke to the owner of the cafe and realized that the cafe is only 6 months old!
SPRMRKT is a really unique place that puts food, retail and art into one space.
The decor is simple but comfortable aesthetically.
They have a corner that houses all the kitchen wares for sale too! Very interesting.

The people there were REALLY friendly. Like superbly friendly and helpful.
Two thumbs up for them.
And what’s even better is that the food is really really good!
I had an oxtail penne and A picked their pork ribs.
The price range is about slightly under $20 for a main, but it’s really well worth it.

My auntie pursed smile. Haha!

Here is their address and some other information you may need if you want to check them out too :)

It is now 4.33am and I am feeling guilty about not blogging for such a long time.
This is pretty much the only time I can sit down and “talk to myself” and reflect on how everything is so far.
Hope I didn’t bore you. :)
And I shall shamelessly end the post with my camwhore photo! Haha.
Enjoy the weekend, people! ♥
