Before I get to London, here are some happenings during our last few days in Paris.
When we got to the Metro, we decided to take another picture at the photo booth because
we did the same on our last 2 trips to Paris! :)

We went back to Eiffel Tower again and made sure we got there early to hit the queues to get onto the tower,
we want to get there before the tour buses. (Trust me on this!)
The view was gorgeous as before – but the weather was really a little too chilly.

Lunch was near the Louvre.

We also went to the Lovers’ Bridge which is really near the Louvre.
I know there are many Lovers’ Bridges all over the world but this is the first time I went to the one in Paris.
And it’s really romantic and all, being in the City of Love.
The street performer on the accordion sure added on to the romantic atmosphere as well!

Some of the locks on the bridge is so interesting!
Other than the tons of golden locks that looked almost the same
(because they all came from that few stalls selling locks near the bridge), there were a lot of other memorable ones.

A and I got our lock too!

We took the Eurostar train from Paris to London.
It was just a very short 1-2 hour ride and it was quite enjoyable with the sights – much preferred it to taking a plane.
The worse part about travelling had to be our massive rucksacks!
But whenever we come to a flight of stairs, we always feel lucky that we have our luggage on our back and not on wheels.
Can’t imagine dragging my wheelie luggages all over the place, so troublesome.

London, London!
It feels so different to be back here with a different group of people this time round.
The previous time I was in UK, I spent most of my time in Reading and only had the chance to get to London over 1 or 2 weekends.
Though our stay in London was only for 3 days for this trip, it was still very enjoyable!

We headed straight to Soho after we dumped our bags in our apartment.
Got a bit of trouble getting an apartment in London because, for some strange reasons,
the landlords don’t seem to be very prompt with attending to our messages on AirBnB.
The apartment we got was in Kensington. The location isn’t that bad, but I think it can be better.
Soho would be a better place to live in in my opinion.

Unfortunately, I don’t have much pictures of ourselves in London.
Didn’t have the time to catch a play at the Her Majesty Theatre but had the chance to watch the guards parade in Buckingham.
SOOO boring! Haha.

He was REALLY shy when he saw me snapping pictures of him. Blushing like crazy!
So cute!

And my favouritest place in London has got to be the Portobello Market in Nottinghill!
Love love love weekend flea markets and this one tops the list because there are so many vintage stores in here.
Somehow hate the numerous stores selling touristy keychains and whatnot though.

We also saw Jamie Oliver’s bakery cum restaurant.
I’m so impressed with the packaging of the things sold in there – really really good!
They have a kitchen at the ground level and they were having some baking class for kids when we were there.
Sounds like so much fun!
I heard they are coming to Singapore too by the way. :)

We bought this tray of quail’s egg chocolates. Look at the packaging!
It’s freaking expensive though. Totally not value for money kind of thing.

Yeah but I’m a sucker and bought it anyway because A likes it.
Seeing how she doesn’t bear to eat the eggs tickles me. :p

And of course, how can a London trip be completed without the London Eye and the Big Ben?
Seriously, our Singapore Flyer is so much more impressive than their Eye. *competitive*

We took one of their city cruisers out onto River Thames too.
Ours took us all the way to Greenwich there GMT 0 is at.
Unfortunately, the Royal Observatory was already closed when we got there. :(
So we just lazed around on the greens instead.

And on our way back to West Minster, the Tower Bridge!

It’s funny how London Bridge is so famous because of the bloody song.
But in actual fact, it looks super boring (and sturdy so I don’t think it will fall).

Oh! And A also bought me this ring from one of the vintage jewelers in Portobello Market.
I love it.
From what I understood from the jeweler, the ring is from the 1890s, the Victorian era
and made of gold, platinum and a small diamond.

At first I was a little skeptical about the ring being really from the Victorian era.
(I am always very skeptical one la)
So after a little research online, I’m quite convinced that the freaking ring is really more than 100 years old!
Something about the use of gold and platinum on the ring and the star design of it.
We also brought the ring to a local jeweler when we got back to have the ring resized
and the diamond replaced with a slightly bigger one, the jeweler asked us how old the diamond was
because the cut was really old school.
Now I kind of regret replacing the diamond because the fact that
the diamond was probably hand cut back in those days really amazes me!
This ring could have belonged to another woman back in the Victorian era! I wish I knew the story behind this ring.

And thank you A for the lovely ring. I think it’s more special than any other jewellery we can find back home.
Happy 2nd Year Anniversary, my love.

I also attended a Tommy Hilfiger event some time back and this update is way too outdated.
But better late than never right? :p
I have always been in love with the signature red, white and blue colours of Tommy Hilfiger –
so nautical and American! When I was asked to do a little appearance on one of their events to play Little Miss Fashion Guru,
I jumped at the opportunity!
It was a cozy sharing session where the new collections were featured and showcased.

And of course, delectable canapés and drinks were served to the guests at the event!

India and majestic Kenya.
I was very fascinated when the Tommy Hilfiger team took me through the collections and
explained to me the different key features in each of them.
The Cape Town inspired fashion group embodies the signature Tommy Hilfiger colours – red, white and blue.
It also incorporates accents of green and gray – reminiscent of a misty morning on the pier.
In this group, expect to find cute anchor details, tape detailing on rugby polos,
or stripes and faux solid prints in blue-on-blue fabrics.

The second fashion group is one of my personal favourites – India!
Get on board the Darjeeling Express because this group is all about colours, dip dyes, brightly coloured
denims, madras checks and everything that would remind you of the dazzling colours in Indian bazaars.

Last but not least, there was also some Safari loving with the Kenya inspired fashion group.
If you are very into earth tones and shades of olive, browns, reds and blues, you will definitely love this series.
I love how they put in animal motifs on the fabric too! Nice touch!
Now for the test, perhaps you can take a look at these pictures and

It was really fun having the opportunity to be part of the event and to share some of my ideas about
how we can make dressing up more interesting,
even when we are just playing around with very everyday clothing items.
Mix and match is the key and it’s important to make sure every item of clothing is versatile!
And of course, don’t forget about the your accessories like shoes, bags, jewellery, hats, etc.

The store was also closed for some well deserved “private shopping” experience
(which was not too private actually because every guest wants to get their hands on the new collections!)

It is really happening.

Today, 9 months and 14 days after we started an online store selling tiramisu, we made a big decision.
We are going to start a cafe. OUR very own!

I am scared. Petrified, to be honest.
This is going to be the biggest step I have taken in my life and something I put my whole self into.
As thrilled as I can be, I cannot help but worry about all the possibilities about the shop failing,
and us losing everything we have built so far.

We are at the point where we are at the end of a cliff, waiting for the next step.
We have wings but we are not sure if they can make us fly.
But if we stay put in this comfort zone and waiting for someone to build a bridge for us,
for someone to make things happen, we will never know if we can take flight.

This has been such a steep learning curve and I think I have never worked so hard in my life before.
It is too big a deal for me and I cannot afford to let it fail.

And as I was freaking out, A spoke to me.
What she said makes hell lot of sense to me and I would love to share it with everybody here.
Because everybody needs a pep talk every once in a while.

The truth is, not everyone is born to be successful – not until they are aware of what makes a successful person.
And when I say successful, I do not measure it only with monetary value but with the various aspects in life.
Success is not measure in wealth.
Success is measured in self gratification.
Happiness can be a success.
A sense of achievement can also be a kind of success.

Success or failure is a byproduct of a person’s personality.
Everything from how you feel, to how you think,
to how you behave determines whether you can achieve your goals.

Everyone loves their comfort zone.
But people who are successful are those who are aware that they are getting too comfortable in their comfort zones,
and try to go beyond it.
Others who didn’t and stay in their comfort zones, and will always remain where they were.

Everybody is lazy.
We are all hard-wired to be lazy so don’t feel too guilty about it.
The thing is, laziness is not always something negative and this would depend on how you look at it.
Laziness can be something that will make you sit in front of the computer for hours until
it has gotten too late to go out to do what you were supposed to do in the first place.
But laziness can also be the driving force that will make you finish up your work
just so you know you can be even lazier after.
The difference between a successful person and one who is not, is the ability to identify the urge to be lazy -
and doing the right thing about it.
All you need to do is to REALIZE that you are lazy. And to make the right decision despite this urge.

Everyone has dreams and ambitions.
But ask ourselves how badly we want to achieve our dreams and ambitions.
The person who would love to be to able to travel the world with a backpack one day is less likely to achieve his goals
compared to the person who FUCKING WANTS to travel the world with a backpack one day.
The greater your ambitions are, the more likely you are able to reach there.
Be aware of your ambition, and remind yourself.
But dreams and ambitions has to be realistic and energy has to be put into the right things.
Liking a celebrity very much will probably make you really good in that field -
maybe you will become the fan club president or something.
But the type of things you are ambitious for will largely determine what you are successful in in life.

Everybody has an ego.
Ego is the part of you that reacts to the outside world.
No one person is egoistic towards him or herself.
Some of us have lower self esteem.
Low self esteem is the difference between our current self and our ideal self – the wider this gap, the lower the esteem.
People with low self esteem are less likely to step out because
they are already putting themselves at a point of low adequacy at the starting point.
To be successful, raise your self esteem.
To raise your self esteem, set short term and realistic goals to gain confidence.
Confidence will give you a higher self esteem.

Everybody is self-centered.
But sometimes we forget that we are self-centered because we are too caught up in being self-centered.
I know this statement sounds ridiculous but it made sense to me after I read it again.
Whenever we are feeling tired and comfortable, or in an unpleasant state,
our subconscious takes over and put ourselves in the center of the world.
And we become blind to people and things happening around us.
We need to learn to be aware of our feelings and realize this feeling of self-centeredness.

To make sound decisions, we have to identify our emotional state.
People who are less likely to succeed are those who let their hearts lead,
they have a higher possibility of giving in to short term desires that are sometimes not the best choice.

In this day and age, education is no longer the key to success simply because we are all educated.
Knowledge and information is constantly changing.
The new literacy in this world is the ability to be aware of change, and to change oneself to adapt, to improve.
If one is able to adapt, one will be able to step up above the rest.

2 weeks in Europe felt like 2 days in Singapore.
I cannot find another better way to describe how short the trip felt to me.
This is the first time I’m travelling with Sinsin and LTK, and I have to say they were great travel buddies!
On this trip, we flew in to Paris and our apartment was in my favourite part of Paris – Montmartre.
This part of the city feels so different and I love the idea of how this place used to be home
to many artists and my favourite movie character, Amelie Poulain.
How cute!

We got our apartment via AirBnB.com and this website has never once disappointed us.
It was a simple but cosy place we called home for 4 days.
To make sure we are covered in case we got sick of the baguettes and pasta, we lugged lots of instant food from home!

Our first breakfast the next day was the very familiar Teochew Porridge!
Hahaha.
True blue Singaporeans. Cannot live without rice.

The apartment is just 10 mins walk away from Sacre Coeur, so naturally, that was our first stop of the day.

A is having a lot of fun with her new toy, the Lomokino.

The purple on my hair has faded to a new violet (my friends call me taro) and I am so loving it.

And me camwhoring while the other couple get their ice cream fix. Heh!
So missing the good skin days!

We also chanced upon the grocery store that was featured in Amelie!

The weather was fabulous that day and we were so happy to have some sun to give us some warmth.
Absolutely no idea why Paris was still so cold at this time of the year!

We also came across this wall with “I love you” written in different languages. Very cute!

The first day was pretty chill and we basically just hung out around Montmartre, sat in cafes and busk in the sun.
And of course, formally introducing my travel mates -
here is my dearest friend Sinsin!

And her hubs, LTK.

And last but certainly not the least, the girl of my dreams.
Hahaha! A lah. :)

Can I also exclaim and boast about my new hat which I got for only 5 euros from a vintage store? YAY!

Went back to the Two Windmills Cafe to have creme brulee again!

Next we checked out Le Marais.
It was also my first time in this area and I think it’s pretty interesting.
This is the Jewish district of the city and they have some really nice stuff there.
Love the little lanes that are so confusing to be in. Hahaha!

But before that, the almost-mandatory jump shots in the most beautiful square in Paris!

A and I wanted to take these “stand in the middle of the frame with a straight face” pictures.
Initially, I wanted to make them into like a collage or something.
But we ended up not taking enough of such pictures so I’ll just throw them into the blog post.
Erm. Here’s one. Haha.

Le Marais has lots of boutiques of big and small labels.
If you are a fan of falafel, this is the place to come to! Your tum tum will leave this place smiling.
Tons of vintage stores around as well.
The prices of the stuff in these stores start from as low as freaking ONE euro.
And if you have patience and is willing to dig for gems from the heaps of clothes,
you might end up walking out of the stores with authentic YSL coats, etc.
No I’m not shitting you.

Er.. Yes another awkward shot. Haha!

The second day was a little tour to the Eiffel Tower.
The damn line to get onto the tower was too long so we only settled for a couple of pictures around the tower
before we head off to the shopping area.

There is a story behind this photo. Haha!
I was actually rejecting some random woman who approached us to get us
to donate money for god knows what “charitable organization”.
I think we got approached 5-6 times in that short one hour. It’s ridiculously annoying!

I think I still look very friendly even while I’m rejecting people. Hor?

The people on the Arc de Triumph look like ants.

Bah. I miss Europe. :(

A stalk of fresh sunflower greeted me the moment I stepped into Tokyo Bust Express
at City Square Mall for my first treatment with them.
From what I understand, they chose the flowers according to how their customers make them “feel” so
I guess I’m very “sunflower-ish” to them. Heh!

Before I continue, I want to thank the team at Tokyo Bust Express for their hospitality and patience
with the explanation about the common problems women have about their busts and
how the treatments can help with using all natural ingredients.
I have never thought that I would be visiting a place like Tokyo Bust Express
because my boobs never really gave me much problems because they are so puny (no pun intended).
But I would have to say the discussion with the team and seeing the BEFORE/AFTER effects of the treatment
really made me realize caring for our breasts should start early.

This is myself with Taylor, one of the specialists at Tokyo Bust Express.
She really knows her stuff!
And to be honest, I was initially quite shy talking about my boobs.
Afterall, how often does one talk about what problems one has with one’s boobs right?
But she is really professional and made me feel very comfortable.
Just like how I usually talk to my beautician and tell her what problems I have with my skin,
I just tell Taylor what problems I have with my boobs and she will recommend something for me.

Taylor also explained to me how the treatments are carried out and
how it is all natural with herbs and other ingredients like Fenugreek seeds extracts,
Mexican wild yam root, hops flowers and also Pueraria Mirifica which is a native herbal plant
that contains high level of natural phyto-estrogens
which can elevate the appearance of female secondary sexual characteristics and also skin beauty!

There was also a short assessment of my boobs before she decides on what sort of treatment I need.

Something else very interesting is she actually took measurements of the position of my breasts before the treatment
– distance between nipples, distance from middle of collar bone to each nipple,
so that I can compare the effects immediately after the treatment!
Shall talk more about it later in the post. Heh!

The treatment room was all floral and pink and nice smelling!
I love how they have decorated the room with fresh rose petals too!

That’s me looking all comfy before the treatments!

It started with a relaxing massage to loosen me up and prep me for the rest of the treatments.
The therapists were friendly and very knowledgeable.
I like how she was very attentive to how I feel and will ask me how I feel occasionally.

I received a scrub before the Padded Machine which is a state-of-the-art equipment to help tone the breasts.
There was also a Bust-Up Therapy that helps in blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.
It is very important because it will help to stimulate the mammary glands to be more enhanced, thus firming up the breasts.
And of course, healthier breasts means chances of getting breast cancer is lower too!

But the most interesting experience of all has got to be the Suction Therapy
where they placed two suction cups over my boobs. Hahaha!
Suddenly made me feel like I’m Madonna or something. :p
The purpose of that was to shape the breasts and helps to correct their positions.

This is really something new to me because I’ve never visited any other places to care for my boobs
before and all of their equipment really fascinated me!

And more importantly, I’m sure you would want to know how the results were like? :D

IT WAS REALLY AWESOME!!

I mean, it was almost like magic because I did the measurements just an hour earlier and
I can virtually see with my own eyes how the shape of the breasts looked different
and the position of the nipples have changed.
Haha! That sounds really awkward but it’s really amazingly true!

The positions moved by like a hefty 1 to 2cm!
And we all know that 1 to 2cm when it comes to the position of the nipples ya? Haha.

My visit to Tokyo Bust Express has made me more conscious about my breasts and
how I can make them look better by treating them better.
No more sleeping on my belly and I will wear less strapless bras
to make sure the two badangdangs get the support their require.

I don’t want to look like that female teacher in Southpark.

So if you are worried that you might look like you’re carrying papayas around when you’re old too,
then it’s time to act now. Heh! :p

But of course, I asked the consultants whether the results are permanent and they were very honest with me.
Well I don’t expect the results to be instantaneous and permanent with one treatment too
(if not there will be no more saggy boobs in this world).
According to the therapists, you need about 4 to 5 sessions for the effects to last.
No ugly girls in this world, only the lazy ones.
I need to constantly remind myself to keep up with the treatments and change some of the habits I have.

* Posted this before I left for the Europe trip but no idea why it didn’t get posted at all! So here it is anyway! *

My long awaited Europe trip is finally here.

Before I collapse, I am going to be a good girl and do up one more blog post!

I’ve been a real lucky girl because as I was fussing about what to wear when I’m overseas,
I received many many clothes in my mailbox all thanks to my favourite online stores.

This grey chiffon tube might not be very suitable for the cold early spring weather in Europe,
but it sure is god sent in Singapore’s climate!

I’ve also been out painting the town red with Beatrice and other outstanding bloggers at one of Fly Entertainment’s event.
It was at Fry Bistro at Club Street area and I just love that place.
Alfresco dining is always my thang. *winks*

It was such a fun gathering and other than Bea and Miss Gitzy, I also got introduced to Bagaholic Boy!
Uber fan girl moment for me! Hehehe.

We had our own little party on their party. Hahaha.

Think I might need to check in not just my rucksack but also include my 2 eye bags tomorrow.

I also brought my new peplum top (I really don’t like the word peplum v much) out for a walk.
It comes padded so no need to wear bra, very fab.

I attended the media tasting of this larger-than-life burger and I am so blown away by how addictive it tasted!

My favourite part about this burger is that there is NO BUN!

I don’t know about you but I always eat the buns the last (I eat my burgers part by part)
just so I don’t have to force myself to eat the buns if I am already too full by the time I get to the buns.
But with this new Zinger Double Down Max,
I make sure the two chicken fillets are the first I get into my tum tum!

There was actually a similar burger in 2012, called the Zinger Double Down.
But this one takes it up another level because it has gotten bigger with an additional hash brown in the burger!

IT WAS SO FREAKING JUICY AND GOOD!

The epic-ness of this product was really in line with superhero proportions
and I think it has the ability to even make Iron Man look puny in their poster. Hahaha!

I ordered the burger without a full meal and I was already SO full when I finished the burger.
So if you are a big eater, then this one will definitely be very fulfilling for you!

Superheroes need to eat their meals also ok?

I always thought Robert Downey Junior was taller though. Hehe!
