A Trip to the Zoo.

July 27th, 2010 by sixpegs

“We’re going to the zoo zoo zoo!”
I believe every irritating young Singaporean will sing this song whenever they’re going to the zoo.
Hahahaha! My girlfriends and I are irritating people so we absolutely love this song.
I visited the Zoo with Buttons and my girlfriends last weekend.

It was so much fun! :D

And the very adorable Hsean Hsean too. She’s Andy’s niece.
SO CUTE RIGHT! *pinch*

Lots of pictures coming up. View at your own discretion! :p

I am back!

July 4th, 2010 by sixpegs

*extended post*

Hello guys! I am back at last!!

It has really been quite a crazy week for me – shuffling from home to work everyday is seriously no joke.
Yishun to Buona Vista, mind you.
*grumbles*
But everything at work is great, so I’m not complaining. Hee!

Here’s a picture of me feeling vain before work. Hahaha!
My company is rather slack with the employees’ outfits (lucky me!),
but I wore a cardigan over this jumper in office of course.
All I have to do is just to remove the cardigan and VOILA! Cute coral jumper for Friday nights! :p
Big thanks to Paper And Candy for the awesome jumper.
I LOVE IT! :)

And yes, you might have noticed – I had a haircut as well!
I brought my Mom to Zenn @ Yew Tee on Wednesday for another haircut by Annie.
She has been doing my hair almost all these while, so she really knows what kinda cuts I’ve had before.
For this haircut, she suggested doing something different.
So yups – this asymmetrical cut of mine is born!
Problem is, I don’t really know how to style this hairstyle well.
Oh well! It’s alright actually. I love the feeling of getting my hair cut! :D

For my Saturday, I tagged along with Buttons to Sentosa.
His school organized this sort of an exchange program with the students from Vietnam.
The school put him in charge of chaperon-ing the kids on this Sentosa excursion, so I tagged along too.
(Not because I’m sticky, but because his school actually told him it’s okay for him to bring his gf)
HOW NICE! :D

Here is the very worried looking Buttons. What/Who is he looking for?

Tokyo Days 3, 4, 5.

June 10th, 2010 by sixpegs

Hello guys! Time really flies when one is having fun!
I am now approaching the 6th day of my 8.5 days Tokyo trip.
We haven’t really been following our itinerary properly (that’s v bad)!
But we have been all over the place and ended feeling really tired almost every single night.

On Buttons’ birthday on the 7th, we had an “All Music” Day.
I researched about the various places that are suitable for music geeks like him and we went to them one by one!
We chanced upon a couple other really interesting music places too.
This is us at Ochanomizu. Nothing much there except lots and lots of guitar stores! :p

And this is Buttons in music heaven. Hahaha!
And also a couple other pictures of us cruising around the neighborhood. :)
And if you’re loving the green top drape I’m wearing, you can go look it up at Challures!

We then headed over to Ginza for the huge Yamaha building that Buttons is obsessed with. Hahaha!
Ginza is totally amazing! So many huge labels over here and they all got their own individual buildings.
TOTAL MADNESS! Too many brands, too little money! Haa.
We were there from afternoon till night.

As it was Buttons’ birthday, we decided to eat something good!
So we went to this restaurant along the main Ginza stretch. But sadly, I think the food was just so-so.
Bleah! Disappointed.
But oh well, we had a private space for dinner and it was time well-spent! :)

I hope you enjoyed your quiet and simple birthday celebration, Baby! <3

On the next day, we got up at around 1pm. (!!!)
I know, we’re super jialat. ALWAYS SLEEPING! Hahahaha.
Even the housekeeping lady had to call us to ask us if we still want our room made up. :p
That’s just really bad. Heh!

But this day was a fun-filled one because we met up with the first couchsurfer from Tokyo!
I met her at the Couchsurfing website and Hanako was really great company!
I would recommend Couchsurfing to everyone all travellers because
it is the fastest and easiest way to get in touch with the locals!
And travelling around with the locals is always different and special because they know the city inside out! :D

We met up at the Hachiko exit where the statue of Hachikō still waits patiently at the same spot.
If you haven’t heard about the amazing story about Hachikō, it’s time to find out more about him here.
Faithful dogs. <3

And this is the amazing Hanako. She was really friendly and spoke really good English!
In fact, she can speak great Spanish as well. This girl has travelled half the world and has so many good stories to share.
It was a pity that this photo is so blur! (urgh) But fret not! We’ll be meeting again on Saturday. Can’t wait!

She brought us to this place where there is free wireless (YAY!) and great great udon! I love udon! :D

She brought me around Harajuku and Shibuya area as Buttons went back to his music stores. Haha!
Hanako knows exactly where everything was and it was such a joy hanging out with her. :)
We then had dinner at Kabuki-cho – the area where all the “interesting” actions took place.
There are vendors selling pornography and hentai comics all over the place.
You can have a teppanyaki place right next to a pornography video rental store. Hahaha!
But it was fascinating indeed. Hanako did her part in telling us more about the businesses going on at Kabuki-cho too! :p

And a picture of Buttons with Hanako. What a nice picture!
I am a better photography obviously (hahaha how shameless!) :p

We were later joined by Kazu and another designer friend of theirs for some drinks!
They brought us to the local gay district which is just a 10 minutes away from Kabuki-cho area.
The pictures were a mess because the flash wasn’t on. But aiya, you get the picture! :p
It was a great deal of fun!!

On our 5th day, we headed out to Shibuya again because we loved the place too much.
We checked out Omotesando area near Harajuku as well.
That place is amazing too. Everything looked lovely there and the people there were all attractive and nice.
You can find the Agnes B Voyage, Burberry Blue and Black label around here as well! :)

But before all the action, check out Buttons’ geeky setup in our hotel room!
Who the hell would bring so many equipments on a vacation right!!!
Yes, this is m boyfriend for you. Workaholic. *snores*

And this is us on our 5th day in Tokyo. <3
I am loving my red scarf!

Trying to look mysterious – fail.

Lunch was at Yoshinoya – good for paupers like us.
But to be really honest, the food here isn’t too bad.
A LOT better than the Yoshinoyas found in Singapore if you ask me!
Value for money definitely. Aiya, beggars aren’t choosers. Lol!
Poor Buttons looks tired here. Either that, or he is still sleepy. Heh.

We took the train to Harajuku and started our shopping.
And this is us at our first coffee break at Harajuku.
Fat (me) and unfit (Buttons) people need lots of breaks! Hahaha!

We cruised around for a while before we had a second coffee break.
Hahahaha. I’m freaking weak. Can’t walk for long! :x

And to end of this post, here are a couple pictures I snapped on my camera.
Oh! A couple of you guys asked me about my camera. It’s an Olympus EP-1! :D
It’s really gorgeous and all these pictures are taken on the pinhole function. Pretty aye?
As for the iPhone screen protector, I went back to the shop and grabbed a couple.
I also took a few that are black with colourful polka dots! That one is totally adorable also!!
I will show you guys more when I am back in Singapore okay?
I only have around 6 of the red polka dots ones that I am using now. Yup, will update on this soon.
Meanwhile, enjoy the beautiful Tokyo city right here! Sayonara! <3

Happy Mothers’ Day.

May 9th, 2010 by sixpegs

This post goes out to all the Mommies in the world, especially Mommy Chang.
Thank you for being who you are – always loving me and believing in me no matter how effed up I can get.
Thank you for accepting Maliboo (I know you’re secretly happy being young Ah Mah also) Hahaha!
Thank you for supporting me in everything that I wanted to have a go at, be it in studies, work or boys.
I love you!!

To all my aunties, aunt-in-laws and Grandma, I love ya’ll too!
Thanks for giving me such a happy family. ♥

We had a hearty meal at Mayim at Northpoint just earlier today.
It’s like a double dinner for Buttons and me because we went for Chong Pang Nasi Lemak prior to that.
Buttons had some major craving for that so we couldn’t wait any longer. Lol!
We’re like totally addicted to Chong Pang Nasi Lemak can!!!

Anyway, here are some pictures taken over dinner.
I’m wearing my new top from One Two Chic,
it’s this romantic lace top that I absolutely adore. Gorgeousssss! :*)

Enjoy the photos, people.

My parents’ portrait. Look really pretty aye?
But look further to see how much pain it took to take a good picture for them! Hahaha.

Button’s Twitter is up, at last!

April 26th, 2010 by sixpegs

Well, I couldn’t tolerate Buttons not having a Twitter account anymore so – I CREATED ONE FOR HIM!
(HAHAHAHA!!)
I made it super pretty also okay, now it seems like his Twitter is prettier than mine!
Follow him so you’ll know all the crappy random things he say. :p
Here is where you can find Buttons and talk to him.
Let’s get it up and running and exciting-looking before he takes over!

The Helix.

April 25th, 2010 by sixpegs

Yayness because I just received my clothes from Hanasecret!
Freaking love this romper because it’s super cute. :D
Other than this, I also wore my lazy Saturday afternoon outside – my torn and tattered jeans.
HAHAHA! I’m loving this pair of jeans the more torn and worn out it gets!

*tsk tsk, really getting out of shape lately*

My skin is getting better these days!
I think my current skincare line is really quite good for me.
Totally love Laneige. *love* And I’ll have to thank the Chanel Whitening serum as well, it works like magic! :)
The picture above is taken without any makeup on my face.
I think it’s really good enough for me already because my complexion was really a lot worse in the past. :x

I also followed Buttons to The Helix opening at Marina Bay for a couple hours just now.
It was really no biggie (to be brutally honest haha) but I love to see Buttons performing, that’s all. Heh!
Alright, to be fair – the bridge is pretty interesting because it is modeled after the DNA double helix.
And you can see alphabets like ‘A’, ‘T’, ‘C’, ‘G’ on the ground when you’re on the bridge.
It didn’t take me long until I realised that they actually represents Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine and Guanine -
the four basic blocking blocks of the DNA! My Biology teacher in JC will be so proud of me. LOL.

I love the fireworks though!!

Buttons & I just booked our tickets to visit Tokyo, Japan!
I am SO thrilled because it’s my first time there and I cannot wait to get my ass there.
It’s Tokyo HELLO! I love it.
I have given myself 10 missions to fulfill when I’m there.
I really cannot wait to go there. ♥

Joy is waiting for you here.

April 12th, 2010 by sixpegs

Buttons wanted to keep the polaroids used in the photoshoot.
So I added a ‘personal touch’ to it.
:)

P.S. Can you decipher the message?

Buttons. And Pegs.

April 8th, 2010 by sixpegs

Oh my god. I am REALLY excited to share these wonderful pictures!
Simply because – THEY ARE SUPER DAMN CHIO MAX!
Melody is such a creative photographer and I’m really loving all the cute pictures we took that day.
Lots of adorable pictures up in this post. Please do not click to read more if you have diabetes.
Here is one picture (my favourite of the lot, in fact) to let you have an idea of what you’re in for! ♥

Oh, shoot!

April 4th, 2010 by sixpegs

Buttons and I had a photoshoot on Saturday morning with Melody.
It was absolutely fun and I am really thrilled to see the final products of the photoshoot!
I’m pretty confident that they will turn out really good anyway. *excited*

We arranged for The Teng Company to have their group pictures taken by Melody as well.
She was really friendly and creative, and we really had loads of fun during the shoot.
I tagged along for The Teng Company’s photoshoot, and took some behind the scene shots.
Also took a couple super retarded pictures of The Boyfriend (haha!) during the breaks.
Buttons looks SO adorable. HAHA!

Okay, Sam will kill me if he sees this.
But he said he is proud of his height, so I guess it should be fine? Heh.
Good things come in small packages. *looks around with guilt*

Well, Melody sure know that I cannot tahan too long without seeing the pictures she took.
So she was really kind to just send me one picture for me to curb my temptations! Hahaha!
I really LOVE this photograph big time!

And I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures from our shoot. :)

Phuket 2010

March 22nd, 2010 by sixpegs

As you all may have already known, I was in Phuket over the weekend.
It was a sponsored trip by Andara Phuket Resort (thanks so much for the generosity).
The trip is totally amazing!!
As a matter of fact, amazing would be an understatement to
describe the kind of service and hospitality we received when we were there.

Ten reasons.

March 17th, 2010 by sixpegs

1. He likes to ‘air guitar’ my dog, too often and too much.
2. He can be too rational and uptight sometimes. Loosen up & go with the flow sometimes, B.
3. Assumes that I am as independent/strong willed/mature/motivated as him.
4. Doesn’t sleep when he is supposed to; and sleeps too much at the times when he is expected to be awake.
5. He becomes another person when he has too much work to do. Gemini indeed.
6. Sometimes when I ask him questions, he answers me in Spanish. Cocky shittard.
7. Bad traffic drives him mad.
8. He likes to play with bodily fluids (read: bad sense of hygiene)
9. Whines too much.
10. Has a schedule so packed and crazy that I don’t know how or where to slot myself in.

But of course, there are a few hundred more reasons to explain why I am still so in love with him.
I am thankful that I met him at choir.

And I am excited about where our relationship will bring us in future.

1. I can be (and am not afraid to be) myself in front of him.
2. Because I am a very disorganized & haphazard person, he helps me a lot by being that admin bitch in my life.
3. He is not afraid to scream at me and be brutally honest when the situation calls for it.
4. My jokes and spastic facial expressions always make him laugh.
5. We both accept each others’ pasts, and we both understand that it’s the present and future that matters.
6. He taught me how to think out-of-the-box, to not settle for good enough, and to stand up for myself.
7. Nothing can ever daunt me as long as I have him with me.
8. He helps to pop my pimples and blackheads. :p
9. He would never allow himself to stay mad at me for too long.
10. Despite being such a private and introverted person, he can always make me feel loved in his own special ways.

& most importantly, he loves me and allowed me into his world.
And he earned my trust by fulfilling everything he has promised me.

Nothing and no one’s gonna bring us down, B.
And by the way, we’re gonna have so much fun in Phuket! ♥

Love you, steel.

The Teng Ensemble in Concert

March 6th, 2010 by sixpegs

I am exhausted from all the drama from the last 24 hours,
but yet still very excited to share the pictures taken from The Teng Ensemble Concert just now!
So, here am I to share a couple pictures that I took from the concert earlier.

Wanting to put my swanky new camera to good use (and to practise my skills on my camera),
I offered to help Buttons and company to take pictures for their concert.
The entire event was a huge success & the photos I took didn’t make them cry,
so I’m really happy for The Teng Company, the boyfriend, and myself! Hahaha.

I didn’t manage to take any close up shots of the violinist unfortunately.
But here are the rest of the performers at the concert which took place at NUS UCC earlier this evening.

A Lovely Love Story.

Buttons bought me this coaster when we just got together.
It is just a small random gift but I love it so much because it sounds like us.
Love you, Buttons!

You Make Me Feel Brand New.

February 3rd, 2010 by sixpegs

My love
I’ll never find the words, my love
To tell you how I feel, my love
Mere words could not explain
Precious love
You held my life within your hands
Created everything I am
Taught me how to live again

Only you
Cared when I needed a friend
Believed in me through thick and thin
This song is for you
Filled with gratitude and love

God bless you
You make me feel brand new
For God blessed me with you
You make me feel brand new
I sing this song cause you -
Make me feel brand new

My love
Whenever I was insecure
You built me up and made me sure
You gave my pride back to me
Precious friend
With you I’ll always have a friend
You’re someone whom I can depend
To walk a path that sometimes bends

Without you
My life has no meaning or rhyme
Like notes to a song out of time
How can I repay
You for having faith in me

Stress kills creativity.

February 3rd, 2010 by sixpegs

Tired people are not creative at all, that’s for sure.
I’m boring myself with my boring outfits everyday.
I think I should really start wearing something nicer in an attempt to make my days brighter.
One always feels better when one is dressed to kill, isn’t it?

Life hasn’t really been treating me well lately.
Endless problems and stress from my family, schoolwork,
and I even had a heated arguement with Buttons few days ago.
Oh well, shit happens.
But the good thing is, Buttons and I talked through our problems and we’re all fine now.
It really takes a lot of effort to keep the loving alive.
Even at times when we’re too busy to meet up, we can always count on video calls. :p Read the rest of this entry »
