A Trip to the Zoo.

July 27th, 2010 by sixpegs

“We’re going to the zoo zoo zoo!”
I believe every irritating young Singaporean will sing this song whenever they’re going to the zoo.
Hahahaha! My girlfriends and I are irritating people so we absolutely love this song.
I visited the Zoo with Buttons and my girlfriends last weekend.

It was so much fun! :D

And the very adorable Hsean Hsean too. She’s Andy’s niece.
SO CUTE RIGHT! *pinch*

Lots of pictures coming up. View at your own discretion! :p

愛情轉移

July 24th, 2010 by sixpegs

I heart popcorns.

July 20th, 2010 by sixpegs

Hello guys! I am back again!
I was on SuperStar Virgo off to Pulau Redang over the weekend with my company,
and it was really quite an eye opener for me -
firstly, because I’ve never been on a cruise before (I know, suagu much!)
and secondly, it’s the first time I snorkelled too!
I’ve got quite a few pictures on hand but I guess the pictures will only be posted later this week. Hee!

I caught “Despicable Me” and “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” in the theaters earlier this week.

Well, gotta say I really miss watching movies!
I’ve hardly had time on weekday nights to do anything.
And weekends are almost always reserved for sleeping-in. Heh!
So movies are really precious to me now! Raa!
“Despicable Me” was really cute! I love that Agnes girl in the movie.
And how she went “SO FLUFFY!” when she got her hands on the fluffy unicorn at the themepark.
You guys should watch it if you wanna feel happy and not use too much braincells! :p

“The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”, on the other hand, was just so-so.
Starring Nicholas receding hairline Cage, Alfred Molina and some other random guy,
this movie is only good for those who wants to watch a movie to kill time.
Hmm. I’d probably rate it 3 popcorns.
Well it’s a free movie screening so I’m not complaining too much.
Oh! The free popcorn and Pepsi was good! :p

Meanwhile, here are some pictures from my family gathering earlier last week.

The children loves coming to my place because there are lots of accessories and gadgets to play with.
My glasses. My hats. My wigs. My other toys. Yes yes, you get the picture! Lol.
And I snapped a couple pictures for them as well. Quite funny right! :p
Demi reminds me of John Lennon in the first picture. Haa!

Had breakfast with Buttons and Mom as well.
But they refuse to pose properly for me to take a nice picture, annoying! Urgh.

And lucky me has received some really awesome items from various blogshops!
This is one of the bags I love a lot.
Many thanks to Polka Dot Pigs for this gorgeous bag.
Oh that’s me in my office by the way. Heh!

I also went out with one of my colleagues form JobsCentral.
Jane is a really fun person to hang out with, and here we are on Thursday night, looking tired as usual. :x

A narcissistic picture of myself, and another picture of my favourite boy in the world! Hehe!

And just to let you in a little on my recent SuperStar Virgo Redang trip, here are a few pictures!
I promise more will be coming up by end of this week! :)
The guy standing behind all of us if CEO of JobsCentral anyway. Young hor!
He brought his two kids along on the trip as well, will show the pictures later this week.

The theme of the dinner on that night was “Nautical”.
Unfortunately, I was one of the few who overdressed for the event. Haha!
But it was still fun nevertheless. :p

This is me with Liz and Ashley on the last day of our cruise, just moments before we reached Singapore. :)

More coming up, stay tuned! :D

Mr Brown is awesome!

July 15th, 2010 by sixpegs

I must admit that I am very, very entertained by this song!
We really gotta give it to Mr Brown for his endless creativity!!
You guys should totally check this out if you haven’t heard it yet. :D

I am back!

July 4th, 2010 by sixpegs

*extended post*

Hello guys! I am back at last!!

It has really been quite a crazy week for me – shuffling from home to work everyday is seriously no joke.
Yishun to Buona Vista, mind you.
*grumbles*
But everything at work is great, so I’m not complaining. Hee!

Here’s a picture of me feeling vain before work. Hahaha!
My company is rather slack with the employees’ outfits (lucky me!),
but I wore a cardigan over this jumper in office of course.
All I have to do is just to remove the cardigan and VOILA! Cute coral jumper for Friday nights! :p
Big thanks to Paper And Candy for the awesome jumper.
I LOVE IT! :)

And yes, you might have noticed – I had a haircut as well!
I brought my Mom to Zenn @ Yew Tee on Wednesday for another haircut by Annie.
She has been doing my hair almost all these while, so she really knows what kinda cuts I’ve had before.
For this haircut, she suggested doing something different.
So yups – this asymmetrical cut of mine is born!
Problem is, I don’t really know how to style this hairstyle well.
Oh well! It’s alright actually. I love the feeling of getting my hair cut! :D

For my Saturday, I tagged along with Buttons to Sentosa.
His school organized this sort of an exchange program with the students from Vietnam.
The school put him in charge of chaperon-ing the kids on this Sentosa excursion, so I tagged along too.
(Not because I’m sticky, but because his school actually told him it’s okay for him to bring his gf)
HOW NICE! :D

Here is the very worried looking Buttons. What/Who is he looking for?

3 more days to “Hajimemashite”!

June 2nd, 2010 by sixpegs

I just collected my new camera for an upcoming advertisement today.
And I’m so thrilled about it that I cannot stop myself from raving about it!
There are some really cool ART” functions in the camera and the pictures from it are super cool.
But as of now, I’m afraid I can’t reveal what camera it is
because I wanna be irritating and keep you (the not-so-observant ones) guessing!!
HAHAHAHAHA!

I’m gonna bring it to Japan and capture my Tokyo moments on it!
Will do up awesome videos too if you guys want, so lemme know if you guys like videos! :p
Meanwhile, I wanna showcase the 6 different types of Art functions available in this almost-DSLR camera.

The functions are (clockwise from top left) – pinhole, grainy film, pale & light, pop art, soft focus, light tone.
The colours of these pictures are all totally unedited! Pretty aye? :D
(By the way, I think I look like a boy in these pictures! Any takers? Heh!!!)
I can’t wait to bring it to Tokyo.
And my favourite out of this 6 functions would be the Grainy Film one!
It makes everything look so artsy. Hahaha! :p

Hurhurhur! :D So bloody vain!

Tokyo Trip happening in just THREE DAYS!
Will blog when I am there in Tokyo, watch out. Tata for now! :D

P.S. Meanwhile, please don’t stop voting for me here!
I know I won’t be able to win at this rate, but at least don’t let me lose by too much! :p

DON’T BE LAZY! IT’S JUST ONE BLOODY CLICK!

Different prices for different floors.

May 31st, 2010 by sixpegs

I met up with the girls for a short dinner and drinks session couple days ago.
I texted everybody at about 4am that night and we all thought we should meet up later in the day to celebrate!
Lianie had a promotion at work and we’re all really happy for her too! :D
We had dinner at some sushi joint and settled for drinks at TCC.
And being our usual selves, we behaved like monkeys. Hahahaha!

And by the way, look at this freaking retarded picture of us!
Guess who we are trying to mimic?

MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

Journey To The West!!!
“师父! 师父!” Lol. OMG I’m so ching chong!

Shiyin look super lost in the picture above. If it was me, I wouldn’t know how to act like that guy with beard also!

And there’s something else. Shiyin wanted to do this one first. Hahahaha!!

Buttons tried too! Tsk tsk tsk. Old man, so many wrinkles already. Heh!

Okay and many other random pictures.

Okay now for more normal pictures -

Don’t ask me what the hell Sindy See is doing. I have no idea too! :p

And my family had the most random gathering on Friday morning.
My aunt has finally collected the keys to her new flat at Fernville!
And as a supportive and loving *ahem* family, we all went to check out the house!! Hahaha!
We’re like how nice right! :p

Everybody, including my aunts uncles went “WAHHH~~~ WAHHH~~~ WAHHH~~~” when we were in there!
We were so annoying. Heh!
But big congrats to Aunt Diana for having a home you can call your own! Congrats congrats! :D

After the session, everyone gathered at the void deck downstairs to decide where to go next.
We had to sit around downstairs because the house itself was dusty and there were no chairs.
I thought everyone looked super “AUNTY” so I took a picture. LOL!

(Maliboo looked the cutest in there!)

And abrupt end to the post. Cute Maliboo, out of focus, but still cute as hell!
*woof*

Dear NTU, enough is enough.

May 27th, 2010 by sixpegs

I am overwhelmed with emotions, emotions so strong that I don’t even know how to describe them.
There are so many things that I want to say and I really don’t know how I should begin.

Yes. Whenever I’m feeling like this, it’s always things pertaining to school.
Well, this time is no exception.
If you have read my blog long enough,
you would have probably seen many posts of me complaining about schoolwork.
And in many of these posts, I was crestfallen, dejected, and very very helpless.

This journey has really been too long.
I was enrolled into NTU in August 2004. To date, I have already been an undergraduate for a total of 6 years.
SIX LONG YEARS! If I was a smarty, I would have gotten a Masters degree by now.
This blog is really the place for me to pour my heart out every time I feel demoralized and hopeless.
I was jaded. I was doubtful of my own abilities and determination. And I was very, very tired.

School has never been easy for me.
Being enrolled into a course that I have no interests in was totally hell for me.
I used to think that I can pull through if I try hard enough, thinking that the course will actually grow on me.
But I was really very wrong.
I was a very lousy student in NTU. Academically, that is.
And with this adventurous and curious personality of mine, I ventured out to try many different things.
I guess they made things worse since I am the easily-distracted sort. My grades plummeted.
And I was often put on ‘academic probation’ & ‘academic warning’ statuses in the recent few semesters.

In the blink of an eye, 4 years passed.
As I see my comrades graduate, the best thing I can do is just to envy.
I regretted not trying my best in the past. And I made a pact with myself to study harder.
But this ‘pact’ thing happens at the start of every new semester, and it never lasts.
Halfway through the semester, I’ll find myself skipping lessons, missing my quizzes and even exams (!) etc.
To be honest, things are not easy at all after all my friends have left.

In fact, life in school got really hard for me.

I had no friends.
No study buddies. No lunch buddies.
I cruise around the corridors alone. I sit in lectures alone.
Very often, I would deliberately attend lectures a little late and sneak in through the back door so nobody would see me. And after the lessons were over, I would sneak off before anybody sees me.
There was one time when I chanced upon a forum where people are discussing about people in NTU.
Someone commented that Peggy Chang is that girl who “can’t study for nuts. Retained for so many years.”
I feel exceptionally self-conscious when I am in school.
I’m not exactly a very low profile kind of person in NTU and I know some people can recognize me.
Whenever I see people staring at me,
I would imagine them discussing among themselves about me – a loser who has been in NTU for 6 years!

I’m sorry. But I really cannot help it!
And it crushes me every time I think about it
.

I became a different person every time I am in school.
I hate talking to people, and I would hide in inconspicuous corners whenever I have the chance to.
It has definitely affected my life as well.
I try to distant myself away from my friends. Why?
Because every time when we get together, they will talk about their work, how much they are getting, etc.
I subconsciously always feel very inferior when I’m seated there with them.
Of course, I am very happy for my friends.
But I just feel really uncomfortable caught in situations like that.
And these friends, because we weren’t really THAT close to begin with, will always tell me things like
“It’s okay lah! You have the rest of your life to work. No hurry really!”
“Working life sucks. Studying is so much better lor.”
Honestly, really?
Why don’t you try being retained for another two years before telling me this?

I know very well I’m just being plain over-sensitive sometimes.

On the other hand, there are people who really cared for me.
My family never gave up on me – supporting me semesters after semesters.
I always break down into tears whenever my parents sit me down to talk about my studies.
I really want to graduate, be a high-flyer, do fucking well in everything and make them proud.
But face it, I’m not that perfect daughter.

There was also my four lovely girlfriends who were always there for me.

When I received the news in January informing me that I have been expelled from NTU because of my poor grades,
I sat down alone at Starbucks in Northpoint for hours.
I was there because I didn’t want to be seen crying at home. I was really afraid!!
It was like a huge wake-up call, telling me “That’s it, Peggy! No more chances!”
Sindy was the one who comforted me when I needed a hug.
Homie (you know who you are) has always been very supportive too.
He is the one who would drive all the way to under my block to make sure I am okay.
He is the one who brought me out to “drown my sorrow” when I was feeling defeated.
I am thankful for all these friends who has always been there for me. I am so lucky to have you guys.

And of course, there is the one and only beloved boyfriend. :)
The one who would try all means to help me in my studies.
He bribed me, scolded me and challenged me in the hopes of seeing me graduate.
He is brutally honest with me. It really pisses me off at times! But I know he meant well.
I hate it whenever people tell me that I didn’t try hard enough.
It’s because these people can never understand what I am going through and what kind of person I am.
Well, but I guess all that reprimanding is good for me afterall.
Thank you dear Buttons for all your brutal lectures. Hahaha!
It’s not exactly my favourite way of receiving “encouragement”, but I guess reverse psychology works sometimes.
Thank you for not giving up on me, baby.

There were also many of you readers who saw me through my uni days, especially in the most recent 3 years.
You guys left so many encouraging comments for me.
Some even wrote me long, long emails to share their stories.
I read every single comment and email I receive because I really appreciate your effort.
It is such a lucky thing to be able to receive love from complete strangers. Thank you guys.

And after this 6 long years…

I did not pass with flying colours, but I have finally proven myself wrong.
I can really make it if I put my heart to it.
I can achieve anything I want, as long as I try hard enough.
I had 5 Fs and 1 C in the previous semester. Seriously, these grades are really good enough for me.
(You should really see my degree audit. Vomit blood!)

Looking back, I am having mixed feelings about this 6 years in school.
I learnt a lot definitely. I met many people. I encountered so many things and I have grown so much.
To be honest, I really still hate NTU very much!
But at the same time, I embrace it with love because this is also the place where I met so many great people.
Amidst all the unhappiness from schoolwork, I was once really happy here at NTU.

So, thank you too, NTU.

I can finally officially call the upcoming Japan trip my “Graduation Trip”! I am really overjoyed!!
Can’t even frigging describe how super happy I am right now! :D

I know I may have taken a longer route.
But to all those people out there who have once despised me, watch out.
I am just right behind you now and I will not hesitate to give a fucking hard kick on your ass!

Hehehehe! :p

I’ve got joy overflowing.

May 27th, 2010 by sixpegs

These few days has been really boring and dull.
My routine everyday is just wake up (at around 5pm everyday), use the computer, play with Boo, sleep at 8am.
HORRIBLE RIGHT!
Except for the two days when I went for interviews in the morning and afternoon respectively.
But I came home to sleep after the interviews anyway! Hahaha! SO BLOODY LAZY!

I met up with Jason for a dinner just now.
He came back from Maldives a while ago and he will only be here in Singapore for another year plus
before he leaves again for China!
And I really got no idea (even he himself doesn’t know) how long he will be there for!
We should make good use of this one year and meet up more often, Jason. :)

I wore my new shorts that Buttons bought for me from Zara, and a new vest courtesy of Hanasecret!
Thank you for the love, people. I’m totally loving the vest.
It can look both casual or formal. It’ll be great for work in future too. :D

Pardon my mirror filled with powder marks! Hahaha.
I am loving my eyebrows too. Heh! I always thought they were a little too thin for my liking.
But I will go tweezer-happy whenever I trim my brows on my own.
I am glad I manage to curb that obsession and let my brows grow back a little.
Thin brows can make one look a lot more mature, and more ‘lian’. Heh! :p

Jason and I talked about many things over our dinner.
And it is really nice to talk to old friends because it always bring back fond memories from the good ol’ days.
Throughout my many many years of education, I enjoyed my time in secondary school the best.
It was just totally awesome! Everything seems easy and simple. People were easier to talk to too.

He then made a crazy suggestion of going for a good karaoke session.
And before we know it, we’re already sitting in K-Box @ Orchard Cineleisure! Haa!

Here’s a picture of me behaving in a (usual) super tak-glam manner.

First time hearing Jason sing though I’ve already known him for more than 10 years.
I have received comments on my blog from some (blind) readers saying Jason is good looking.
(Hahaha. I kid! I kid!)
I’m sure you wanna hear him sing right! HAHAHA! I hope Jason doesn’t kill me.
He really sang quite well lor! :p
Here it is -

I haven’t seen my Buttons for two days already.
And it felt as if I haven’t seen him for TWO YEARS!
BUT I’m meeting him tomorrow. YAY!!! I hope tomorrow comes soon.
Oh! And I have finally finished my Japan itinerary as well! :D
I have been doing it up religiously for the past few nights.
Reading up about the various places in Tokyo,
which subway station they are near, etc so that I can plan the route to take and stuff like that.
I know I belong to the minority because I have never been to Japan before!!
So all you experts out there, feel free to take a look at my itinerary.
Do gimme some pointers if required okay? :)
Thanks so much to few of my Twitter followers who suggested good restaurants in Tokyo for me!
It’s Buttons’ birthday on the 7th June and we’ll be celebrating it in Tokyo!
I’m thrilled and really excited about it.
If you have any good (& inexpensive) place to recommend, feel free to drop a comment for me okay? :)

And now, for the itinerary -

On top of these, I also found information on the various areas I’m visiting, found all their area maps too.
And I attached a subway line map in the itinerary too. :)
Oh yes, I’m still thinking whether I should go Disneyland, or Disneysea or Sanrio Land.
If I’m going, it will replace one of the shopping days. Should I huh?
Q: I can get Hello Kitty stuff all over Japan one right?
I’m not really super keen on checking out Kitty’s house also lah. I’m more interested in the merchandise.
*ponders*

Anyway, lemme know if you have anything to suggest! :)
Many thanks! Tata!! <3

Guess who?

May 21st, 2010 by sixpegs

These are actually paper cuttings!
The artist just snip these out of black paper, and it only took him less than a minute for each cutting. Amazing!
And these are just part of the fun at the Power Over Cervical Cancer Bloggers Gathering held on Wednesday.
It was my first time meeting so many other female bloggers, and it was such an eye opener.
Inevitably, I felt a little left out when I first got there since it’s my first time at such a gathering.
But  it was really awesome to see many other famous bloggers in person! And they were really nice and friendly. :)

And on top of all that, the most valuable thing I gained is my new found knowledge about cervical cancer!

Will blog about this soon when I have more time on hand! Stay tuned. ♥

Change.

May 9th, 2010 by sixpegs

This post goes out to all the Mommies in the world, especially Mommy Chang.
Thank you for being who you are – always loving me and believing in me no matter how effed up I can get.
Thank you for accepting Maliboo (I know you’re secretly happy being young Ah Mah also) Hahaha!
Thank you for supporting me in everything that I wanted to have a go at, be it in studies, work or boys.
I love you!!

To all my aunties, aunt-in-laws and Grandma, I love ya’ll too!
Thanks for giving me such a happy family. ♥

We had a hearty meal at Mayim at Northpoint just earlier today.
It’s like a double dinner for Buttons and me because we went for Chong Pang Nasi Lemak prior to that.
Buttons had some major craving for that so we couldn’t wait any longer. Lol!
We’re like totally addicted to Chong Pang Nasi Lemak can!!!

Anyway, here are some pictures taken over dinner.
I’m wearing my new top from One Two Chic,
it’s this romantic lace top that I absolutely adore. Gorgeousssss! :*)

Enjoy the photos, people.

My parents’ portrait. Look really pretty aye?
But look further to see how much pain it took to take a good picture for them! Hahaha.

Hello, Furla!

April 15th, 2010 by sixpegs

I shall start off the post today with adorable pictures of my beloved Maliboo.
I watched Hachiko on DVD couple days ago and I’m totally in love with Hachi in the movie (and also Richard Gere!)
And watching the soppy movie also somewhat reminded me
that I should always love Maliboo while we both still have each other.
Snapped a couple pictures of Boo when she was asleep also.
But she’s super pro lor – can always wake up at the slightest sound!

I bag(ged) from Reebonz.

April 12th, 2010 by sixpegs

Hahaha. I’m as excited as a rooster on drugs now!
And do you know why?

I AM SO LUCKY, I know right? *Mean Girl mode*

I have always been a huge fan of Reebonz!
In fact, I bought my Cole Haan bag from there just last month.
And this is totally terrific news to me because well, a girl can never have enough bags! *ahem*
And in addition, I really love the bag they are giving me!!

(P.S. Please click on link to check them out if you haven’t if not you’ll seriously regret for the rest of your life. Haha!)

I got to choose from their website and I narrowed my choices to these lovely bags from Furla.
I picked a few designs that I fancy but just couldn’t make up my mind because they are all so cool!
I even polled my friends and readers on Facebook and Twitter. Hahahaha!

I love the colors in this bag. It’s casual and doesn’t look too serious – sounds just like me! :p
I think I’ll be able to use this bag for both work and casual.
Imagine this bag paired with crisp white shirt and well fitted jeans. Marvelous.

This design is actually one of the newer designs and it’s actually still available on the Furla website!
But the best part is – the prices on Reebonz is always more shioky! Heh heh.
(Well that’s exactly why I bought my Cole Haan from them the other time)
But I’m really so glad I’m getting this for free. OMG MAD HAPPY!!
HURRAY TO REEBONZ!

OMG. I can’t wait for my bag to arrive!
