It was a fine morning and we set off to do a little pre-wedding (or some call it engagement) photoshoot for Sindy and Tingkang.
Wedding bells will be ringing in May this year!
A and I didn’t sleep for the entire night before the shoot (I was blogging and she is hooked on SIMS 3),
but I think we ran on some amazing adrenaline and reserve battery left in us to do the shoot.

It was really fun exploring new places and taking pictures for the lovely couple.
Tingkang also handmade the reflector we used for the shoot!
And Lianie the stylist came prepared with pretty dresses for the bride-to-be!

Here is a little present for my beautiful friend, Sinsin and Tingkang!

The first location was near Dempsey area.
The sun and occasional clouds made it perfect for the shoot!
A and I lugged all the props and I’m glad they added more pretty colours to the shots! *beams*

They looked really cheery and happy in the pictures and I think all the mosquito bites didn’t bother us much anyway.
Sinsin then changed into a pretty red dress and Tingkang donned on a cute B&W shirt!
This was supposed to be a candid shot but I think they both looked really natural and happy!

The last location is in Queenstown area where there are pretty pastel-coloured brick walls that I really love.
All thanks to Melody who brought me there about a year ago!
I love all the shots taken here because they all look so happy and cheerful – very much like Sinsin and Tingkang in person.

Other than taking pictures, we fooled around quite a lot a bit too and took some stupid photos. Hahaha!
Here are some behind-the-scene pictures (and video) to let you know what was really going on this morning. :p

This is the homemade reflector Tingkang and Sinsin made!
It’s easy, just crunch up aluminium foil and stick them on a huge cardboard with the matt side on the outside.
You can try it too if you want. :)

My New Year celebration was a blast with A, the girls and their partners!
Earlier in the evening on the 31st December, I also attended my friend Levi’s wedding at Conrad Hotel.
Wish him all the best and a blissful marriage! ♥

We left the banquet early so we won’t be caught in the NYE countdown crowd.
Sindy and Lianie were feeling very “Sex and The City” and Sinsin decided to do a video of us.
HAHAHAHAHA!
I don’t know how to walk so happily like them though.

Our NYE celebration was a simple one at A’s place.
My darling A was so nice to let us create havoc at her place in her room. Heh!
I brought my ring light to her place and set up a little camwhore corner so that I could take pictures with my girlfriends,
RIGHT BEFORE Year 2011 ends!

Everyone was there except Aiyo because it was she and Weifu’s anniversary day!
Congratulations Aiyo and Weifu! ♥ Another wonderous year!
But even though she wasn’t there, we still made sure she is in the photo saying her favourite line “AIYO!”
Hahahaha.

Introducing the usual suspects, Lianie, Sindy and Rossie!
The boys cannot really be bothered to take part in our silly photo taking session.
They all just sat around the room, watching TV, playing games or eating chips (or laugh at how we were so easily amused).

I think my ring light has never been happier too!
The four of us took pictures almost non stop.
A was really patient to stand there and help snap our ridiculous poses too. HAHAHA!

Don’t ask me Lianie’s dress how come wet wet. HAHAHAHA!

We also made 春联 from toilet paper. HAHAHAHA!
This tradition started couple years back when we scribbled on some serviettes in some restaurant and took a lot of pictures.
I know it’s New Year and not the Lunar New Year yet, but we can’t wait!

When the clock struck midnight, we all kissed our partners Happy New Year and it really made me smile.
It’s such a blessing to have found these girls and A in my life and to have such great times together.
I’m really happy to see how everyone is so happy too! ♥

May 2012 be another wonderful year for everyone.
Sinsin and Lianie will both be getting hitched in 2012! YAY!

Before I begin, let me wish everyone not-very-on-time but definitely not late…

I hope you guys all had a fantastic Christmas celebration over the weekend!
I had a lot of fun meeting up with my friends and A as well! :)

Auntie Connie dropped by Singapore from Taiwan for some personal matters and we managed to catch her over dinner at ION.
The traffic in town was totally crazy though!
I guess everyone was rushing to town to do last minute Christmas shopping when we were there,
and we were stuck in non-moving traffic in Orchard area for a good 20 to 30 minutes before we could get into the carpark!

This is what a frustrated driver looks like. Haha!

ION is one of my favourite place to be!
I used to refuse to visit ION when it first opened because everyone was raving about it.
And me being me, I like to deliberately go against everyone. Hahahaha!
But I think I go to ION more than any other places in town now.
A and I always take such stupid pictures at the escalators in ION. :p

Auntie Connie was this super nice lady who brought A and I everywhere in Taipei the last time we were there.
She is still the same, super bubbly and energetic! Heh.
We had dinner at Taste Paradise at ION Level 4.
It was my first time there and I’m really blown away by how pretty the food is and how good they taste!
Chinese fine dining! (Basically, everything with a big plate and little bit of food is fine dining to me. Hahaha!)

I don’t know what you think but I think the four siblings don’t look like each other at all.
Maybe A looks a little like her elder brother (in white), that’s all. :p

Speaking of A’s Mom, she also baked a super nice log cake for me this Christmas!
But because we don’t do any Christmas celebrations at home, I brought the cake to our gathering at Rossie’s place.
Look at the pretty cake Auntie Susan made for me! She told me the Santa Claus is holding a big bag of money for me.
HUAT AH! Hahahaha!

A and I also made meatloaf for the doggies for Christmas!
I think it was a big success because even A wants to eat the meatloaf (and she stole quite a bit to eat).
It’s made from minced pork, celery, potatoes, carrot, oatmeal and lots of love!
This is the one I made for Maliboo. B for Boo! :D

I had to REALLY HOLD HER DOWN and settle her before I could get a picture of her and the Christmas meatloaf we made.
Tried to make her look up but to no avail. Heh!
She REALLY loves the meatloaf and couldn’t stop munching away once I told her she could go for it!

And… our new friend, Poppy!
Poppy is Rossie’s baby all the way from the States!
According to Rossie’s hubby, Roy, Poppy is an ABCD.
American Born Chinese Dog.
HAHAHAHAHA! Very creative indeed. :p

We made a “P” meatloaf for Poppy too and she absolutely loved it!
I think A and I can make it a sideline and make meatloaf for all the furballs in Singapore!
Our meatloaf rocks! :B

Sindy and Tingkang weren’t around for the gathering because they went on an escapade to KL for Christmas.
Better join us next year, Sinsin!

We also met up earlier for our midweek girlfriends loving session! ♥
This is the first time after Rossie got back then we managed to have a meetup where everyone was present!

A came along with me and we were bumming around before we met up with them at Bugis Junction.
She also accompanied me to get my new iPhone 4S!
I know it’s a little slow but I’m thrilled to finally have a new phone because my current iPhone 4 is totally screwing up!
The HOME button is cranky and the button on top needs a lot of strength to be pushed.
The iPhone only have 2 main buttons and both of the buttons on my phone is spoilt.
CAN YOU IMAGINE?!

Ok, enough whining.

Oh! I switched to Singtel too! Hee.

Dinner was at 南翔馒头店 in Bugis Junction.
I heard about 南翔’s supposedly very good xiao long baos but that was my first time here.
The shop is quite cute! I like how they used the bamboo baskets as lights!

Food was really yummy too!
Freaking love the Drunken Chicken cold dish! One of my usual dishes at a Chinese restaurant! Yums.

We then did some shopping and wound up in TCC for some coffee before we called it a day.

Then they said the guys from Beatles on my tee look a little uncomfortable because they were stretched by my boobs.
Didn’t know my near non-existence boobs can stretch Ringo Star’s face too. Hahaha!

I celebrated my 5th 21st birthday on the 6th of August with the few (but definitely enough) awesome people in my life.
They secretly booked a room in Naumi Hotel (& refused to let me know where I’ll be going until the very last minute)
and we had our little quiet gathering there.
The girls asked me to bring my passport along somemore. Basket.
And A packed my bag for me, and brought along a whole lot of long sleeve tops.
Faint.

BUT that said, I really appreciate the effort & I had a lot of fun.
BIG THANKS DARLINGS AND DEAR A! <3

Oh! Before I go on and talk about what we did in the hotel, here’s my awesome present from A again!
I’ve been looking at this bag on Net-a-porter for the longest time and she got it for me!
She tried keeping it a secret as well. Hahahahaha!
But just 1 day before my birthday, I wanted to go online and just buy it for myself.
She knew and totally FREAKED OUT!
HAHAHAHA! And confessed that she already bought it for me.
YAY! I win. :p

The present came early.
I LURVE IT! Thanks A!

A was the first one to wish me happy birthday.
She crept into the room at midnight with home made vanilla (my fave!) ice cream “cake”!

And made mee suah with egg for me for breakfast the next morning! It was SUPER YUMMY!

The suite they got was totally fabulous.
Spacious and has everything we needed.
I love the bath tub! And I love the little partition between the living area and the bedroom. :)
Good choice, girls! Heh.

The girlfriends and I made a trip to Goodwood Park Hotel for a yummy high tea session last weekend.
It was a great deal of fun bcos there is nice sweets for my tummy and I have company of my wonderful girlfriends!
I think I really, really love my Olympus PEN camera!

I had a great girlfriends’ day out with my darling girlfriends last weekend at East Coast Park.
It’s our third outing there and this time, I brought Boo along as well!
There’s something about Boo.
She can always sense that I’m going to bring her out even before I tells her or pack her stuff.
Dogs are amazing animals.

Anyway, here we are!
I brought this ugly “picnic” mat and we sat there for hours and spent the afternoon there.
It has been a while since I last did something like that and I absolutely miss it!
But us being lazy girls, we just bought cooked food from the hawker centre nearby and made it our “picnic”.
Hurhurhur!

And as usual, it was really nice to just have dinner and hang out with the girls.

It was Aiyo and my first time there and we almost had a hard time
trying to locate that place because of Lianie’s wrong information. HAHAHA!

Hello everybody! I’m back!!
Sorry for the lack of posts! I’ve been busy as usual.
Heh heh. But I’m promise to blog more, promise promise. :p

Weekdays has been exceptionally mundane after I’ve started working.
But honestly, there’s nothing a girls night out can’t solve! <3
I met up with Sinsin and Lianie again earlier this week and it was totally awesome.
Although we’re not as crazy as how we were when we were 18, it was still really fun seeing them.
We had some beer and the boyfriends (almost all the boyfriends ahem) were present too.

I know, those pictures look too proper and it doesn’t look like us at all right?
Mmmmm… This is more like it! Hahahahaha!!

I’m loving my new hair more now! I think I’m getting used to the asymmetrical look day by day,
and getting the hang of styling my new hair as well. Good for me.
Well, this is especially important for me because I always sleep until the LAST minute before work every morning.
So, every second counts! Hee.

I know, I’m like superglue. But sigh.
Weekends are precious. And all the recent weekends are always burnt.
Aiya, got free company trip. I better not complain so much!
I reckon it’s gonna be a really fun trip for me as well!

I met up with the girls for a short dinner and drinks session couple days ago.
I texted everybody at about 4am that night and we all thought we should meet up later in the day to celebrate!
Lianie had a promotion at work and we’re all really happy for her too! :D
We had dinner at some sushi joint and settled for drinks at TCC.
And being our usual selves, we behaved like monkeys. Hahahaha!

Everybody, including my aunts uncles went “WAHHH~~~ WAHHH~~~ WAHHH~~~” when we were in there!
We were so annoying. Heh!
But big congrats to Aunt Diana for having a home you can call your own! Congrats congrats! :D

After the session, everyone gathered at the void deck downstairs to decide where to go next.
We had to sit around downstairs because the house itself was dusty and there were no chairs.
I thought everyone looked super “AUNTY” so I took a picture. LOL!

I met up with my JC classmates earlier this week.
It has been such a long time since I have last seen them, and it’s really nice to know everyone’s doing well now!
Everyone still looks the same. Heh! And that’s definitely a good thing. :)
And I got a new haircut as well. Shorter and neater. Easier to manage too!
I love it! Oh but sorry that the light made my face look ghostly in the second picture. Haha!

Heard that one of my ex-classmates is getting married too.
Being 24 (alright, 25) is really scary because everyone around you is getting hitched!
Heh! BOY, we’re all growing up already! Growing old in fact.
But I’m really happy for you girl.

Hope you’ll have all the happiness in this world. :)

We had dinner and drinks at Orchard ION.
We wanted to make plans for midnight mahjong (I am seriously itching for a good mj session btw),
but instead, I met up with homie XW again for a drink or two. :p
Beer on Monday is simply god-sent. Period.

Cheap beer at Cuscaden Patio. Good people, cheap beer and lots of flags to play “Name the country” game.
Hurhur!

I think we had 5 jugs in total. *burp* Yummeh!
But that didn’t do much damage to us anyway, and I camwhored when I got home. Muahahahaha!

I am loving my new hair, do you like it too? Hee.

And after all that action, I wasn’t sleepy at all last night.
I started on a Taiwanese drama (YES I HATE MYSELF FOR DOING THAT!) and watched 8 episodes at one go!
I slept at 1PM! Yes I watched through the night.
But damn it’s such an addictive show! It’s called ‘Down With Love’ (I think) by Jerry Yan and Ella.
CUTENESS. Hehehe!

& with my sleepyhead, I met up with the most lovely girlfriends to celebrate Sinsin dear’s birthday.
It’s just a small-time belated celebration, hmm.. probably more of a get-together instead of a celebration.
It was really nice though, we had dinner at Waraku and headed over to TCC for sweets.
Every damn thing is nice with these girls lah! LOVE YA’LL. :)

And to the most beautiful Sinsin dear, hope this coming year will be a wonderful and fruitful year for you.
But sigh, we’re really getting old already.
When we were younger, we’d wish for beauty, good grades in school or something along that line.
But now at this ‘quarter-life-crisis’ age and in this competitive society,
Sinsin dear knows exactly what is the most practical thing to wish for:

I have always loved white flowers.
White roses, white orchids and now I love these white chrysanthemums too!
They’re really gorgeous. ♥
And since no one buys flowers for me anyway, I decided to buy some to make myself happy.
Look at them, they’re so lovely!

Dinner with the girlfriends finally happened today. *grins*
Big thanks to Lianie for organizing.
It is always great meeting up with these ladies – chilling over drinks and catching up over dinner.
It really takes a lot of effort to keep up with our friendships,
especially when they are all busy working and got a lot other commitments in their lives.
But I’m really glad we’re all still so in love with each other! Hahaha!

We had dinner at Marmalade Pantry at ION.
Lianie and Aiyolove wanted Japanese food (again!) but Sinsin & me were too lazy and tired to walk,
so we settled for this instead.
I love those yellow chrysanthemums on each and every table! ♥

The weekend is here and I love the weekends.
It’s a good time to just put everything down (including my hair) & just have fun!
The weekends have also become increasingly precious after Buttons moved in to the hostel.
And we finally get to meet up to enjoy our all-time favourite Balestier Boon Tong Kee.

That’s what we’ll usually order when we’re there.
And because we’re such regulars there, some of the waiters can even memorize our orders!
He loves breast (meat :p) & I hate it.
But we are all hopelessly in love with the Sambal Kang Kong there.
It’s totally, totally awesome stuff!!

We also took the chance to catch a concert at Esplanade.
It was a performance by Singapore Symphony Orchestra & The Tang Quartet.
Well, I’m not exactly a fan of such concerts, but it’s nice to be wherever Buttons is.
But fortunately, he rewarded me with a beer after the concert – so it’s all worth it. :p
Dinner was at another of our all time favourite Thai Express, and sweets were from Max Brenner.
Yummy yummy!

I hope all of you had a great Christmas celebration.
To be honest, I love and hate this time of the year.
It’s great because we all get to gather with friends, snuggle up and have fun talking and sharing.
And I hate it because a new year is going to begin, and I’m always daunted by new beginnings.

No one can stop the flow of time though, so we can only try to embrace every single moment.
For this Christmas, I enjoyed the company of my dearest friends and Maliboo.
We all gathered at Sinsin’s house for a nice BBQ and catch-up session.
It was simply splendid!
Buttons and I made sushi for the rest, and (fortunately) they loved the sushi! :p
