If you were coming.

January 30th, 2011 by sixpegs

If you were coming in the fall,

I’d brush the summer by

With half a smile and half a spurn,

As housewives do a fly.

If I could see you in a year,

I’d wind the months in balls,

And put them each in separate drawers,

Until their time befalls.

If only centuries delayed,

I’d count them on my hand,

Subtracting till my fingers dropped

Into Van Diemen’s land.

If certain, when this life was out,

That yours and mine should be,

I’d toss it yonder like a rind,

And taste eternity.

But now, all ignorant of the length,

Of time’s uncertain wing,

It goads me, like the goblin bee,

That will not state its sting.

I have been all over the place this past week.
Other than the 9-to-5 work I do everyday in office, I’ve stolen some time to have nice dinners with Mom,
and also met up with Xuanwei again! :)
I also did a photoshoot for Puma for their upcoming Lookbook!
Let’s just start the post with some photos which I don’t know how to slot in anywhere else in this post. :p

Okay this is getting a bit addictive.
Here is another video from Buttons and I. Hahaha!
This is one of my Mom’s favourite Hokkien song.
My Hokkien pronunciation is not very accurate though. Didn’t bother to have a few more takes. :p

The story behind this song is beautiful.
Here is a rough translation done by Buttons to help you understand it better:
