S.H.I.T – Sorry Honey It’s Thursday!

August 26th, 2010 by sixpegs

Hello everybody, it’s Thursday night.
Let’s put our palms together in front of our hearts and say “Thank You”.
Hahahaha!
Yay. It’s another week coming to an end and I’m very excited.
I’ve got nothing planned for the weekend but the mere thought of being able to sleep in till late thrills me.
Come Friday, come!!

Will update with a bigger post soon! Am still looking for some quality fun.

P.S. My mother calls Skype “Sky-pee”. She is on Sky-pee with my aunt right now discussing where to get the cheapest shampoo. Mad cute. LOL!

Experience of a lifetime.

August 21st, 2010 by sixpegs

Hey guys! Sorry that I’ve been away for so long.
Am now back with a mega update for you guys! :D

Buttons and I brought Maliboo to the beach last weekend.
It was a really fun time for me because it was the time to find out if Maliboo knows how to swim!
I know there are only some breeds that knows how to swim (?)
But Maliboo is a rojak dog and I don’t really know the exact details of her parentage to be honest.
Hmm.. Whatever it is, we’ve found out that Maliboo can swim!

I hope she doesn’t hate us because I think we made her really tired.
Think she doesn’t really like swimming also. Heh!

She was really happy when she knew we were bringing her out. :p
Little did she know that she was gonna get an experience of a lifetime soon. Hiak hiak!

Maliboo was super duper uber tired after the rigorous exercise session!
I have never seen her that tired before!
It was also one of my most unglam visits to a beach.
I was wearing a wet singlet and wet shorts running around, chasing after the dog.
It was drizzling when we first got there and Buttons and I looked super off with our umbrella. Hahaha!
Nonetheless, I still had a lot of fun and I hope Maliboo had fun despite the fatigue! :p

This one particular picture really made me burst out laughing (sorry maliboo).

Poor girl. She was totally thrashed by the time we got home.
Buttons and I were super tired after the whole chase-dog-bathe-dog thing at Sentosa as well.
What a great Saturday! :D

Good exercise for lazy Maliboo too. Heh.
Click here to watch the video of Booly swimming! :D

I also wanna show off this super cute bra case that I brought to the beach!
I hate it whenever my bras go out of shape when I throw them into my bag.
So this bag is really a superb buy from Smoocholito!

Some random pictures of Buttons, Boo and me last weekend. :) My hair is growing so quickly. Tsk.

I visited Marina Bay Sands (for the first time) yesterday.
What can I say? I’m super suah-gu. Hahaha!
But I have to say I’m really amazed! The building itself looks really gorgeous!
The rooms are really pretty as well.
Belinda is leaving the company and she booked a room there to hold a little get-together. <3

This is Belinda by the way! :)

I had a great deal of fun with my colleagues! Almost died laughing. :x
All the best to you in your new company, Belinda!
It was such a great pleasure to meet you. :D

As for this weekend, I reckon I’m gonna spend it slacking at home.
I want it to be a no-work, no-stress, pure chillax kind of weekend!
I bought a couple DVDs 2 nights ago and hopefully I’ll get to watch all of them over this weekend!
I love snuggling up on the couch to watch DVD with ice cream or junk food. Heh!

Here are some other random pictures that I’ve taken. Hahaha.
I signed up for a year long package with Pure Yoga.
Totally love the Ngee Ann City branch – lots of studios and it’s right in the heart of the city.
Good thing is that it’s pretty convenient getting there from home as well. Purrfect!
Hope I’ll shape up and look like this again!
(Hopefully. Sobs!)

I wanna show some of the apparels I’ve received in my mailbox lately too! :D Totally love them!!
White tube dress from La Classic Style.

And this super sexy dress from Ash In Cans! Love it! :D

Bought something for myself as well. :)

And I’ve finally received my very own Olympus EP-1 camera!
Big thanks for Olympus for the generosity! :D I’m totally totally totally loving it.
I received a lot of emails asking me whether EP-1 or Canon 500D is better.
To be honest, they are both very different and they are both very good!!
I’m getting a bit lazy to answer the emails, so sorry huh! :p

Alrighty, till next time!
Sorry I haven’t been blogging as often lately.
But will try to make every post as interesting as possible! :D
You can also follow me on my Twitter account for more updates because I’m pretty active there!
Till next time! <3

Love my post if you do, so I know what kinda stuff you guys like to see!

Peektures from Studio M.

August 14th, 2010 by sixpegs

I had a simple gathering with my closest friends over last weekend at Studio M Hotel.
The place looks really cool and I’m totally in love with the loft design in there.
But the bad part is, the room is really quite small. Ahem.
Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun there with my darling friends!! :D

Shall start with my pretty pictures before all the other ugly ones surface. Hahaha.
Everything in the room is small, except that light.
Good for taking closeup pics in front of the light (Okay, I did all that when I was bored and alone k)

The OCBC YES! Card Challenge

August 11th, 2010 by sixpegs

I have never had a debit card all my life.
And if you ask me how the perfect debit card should be, to me,
it must be aesthetically pleasing, multi-functional, versatile
and must give me freaking a lot of discounts wherever I go!

In a nutshell, it has to be the kind of card that I’m proud to pull out from my purse everytime I’m paying up.

And yes, I think I have found this card.

Basically after reading about this card,
I can think of a hundred reasons to justify why I said this card is awesome.
But because I’m blogging about this over lunch in office (fyi, yes I really am);
I shall just state the top 5 reasons why this card is made for perfection.

(1) It’s VISA, VISA Pay-Wave, NETs, EZ-Link and ATM card all put in one.
You just have to bring this one card out when you’re having a night out.
Can fit into that tiny pocket on your tiny skinny jeans.

(2) I totally love how it looks. Red and loud! (Hee!) This one just totally screams sexy!

(3) It offers benefits, privileges and discounts to OCBC Card members at 1000 outlets all over Singapore.
You can check out these shops here.

(4) It is gonna be a cool, modern and convenient tool for you to manage your finances!
Money is hard to earn young people, so make sure you know where all your money goes to.
Using one card for many different purposes is a good way to start!

(5) You might walk away with $8000 (!!!) just by taking part in the OCBC YES! Card Challenge!

The Hairy Issue.

August 3rd, 2010 by sixpegs

As I have previously mentioned on Twitter, I recently to fix my hair.
And yes, this pampering treat is sponsored by none other than Salon Vim.
You must have heard about them before – they are one of the most talked-about salon right now!
Having sponsored many other bloggers, I am proud to come on board as their 9th blogger.

The salon is located in Somerset 313. That’s like one of the most happening places in town in my opinion.
It’s especially great for people like me since it’s near the train station as well!
Salon Vim has a simple yet sophisticated interior design – making my time there very enjoyable.

This is me before I got my hair cut. It’s very, very asymmetrical.
And according to my stylist, Louis, this style can be improved by giving me a less symmetrical look.
And also with colours suitable for Fall/Winter.

One of the best thing I enjoy about the service here is that the stylists know exactly what’s in fashion -
the colours, the looks and they also gave me many little tips as to how I should style my hair.
The colour I was given has a purplish tinge and I was also given ash highlights at my fringe area.
These are the colours that will be in trend for the upcoming Autumn/Winter period.
I love being at the frontline of fashion, doing stuff before everyone starts doing it!

And don’t freak out! Hahahaha!
This picture is taken when my hair is halfway done.
My fringe is not bleached. (Note this!!)
Instead, it is a special technique and knowledge that Salon Vim has!
This process includes decolourization of the hair, in other words,
the pigments in the hair is removed and replaced with the new desired hair colour.
It is less hurting for the hair.
And yes indeed, my fringe doesn’t feel squeakily dry now even after the colouring!
I really gotta take my hat off to the inventors of such life-saving techniques! :p

Yes I was also given a nourishing treatment with Loreal products at the salon.
(that kinda explains why the whole thing took up 5 hours! Heh.)
The treatment is supposed to lock-in the colour and moisturise my hair!

Well, above all, I think it’s the experience and quality of service I received at Salon Vim that touched me most.
I appreciate that that staff paid attention to details -
like when my tea is out, they will top it up with hot tea immediately.
When they noticed that I’ve finished reading the magazines given, they will gimme some new ones.
And when I have been there for 5 straight hours and they thought maybe I haven’t had dinner,
they offered me some biscuits.

I call this attention to details professionalism. :)

And thanks to Salon Vim and my wonderful stylist Louis, here is my hair now.
Look at the subtle colours on my hair and the ash colour in the fringe. :D

The cut is actually very versatile and be styled in several ways.
You can sweep the fringe to the side to look classically beautiful, put it all down to look casual,
or pull it all up to look funky and fun. :p
It’s all up to my creativity! I am totally having fun with my hair already lor.
Everyday change hairstyle. Haa!

For people who are interested in getting a haircut at Salon Vim, do mention that you’re a reader at SIXPEGS to enjoy a 10% discount off the total price! :D

And since we’re at this topic about my hair, I noticed that
I haven’t really explained how to use a scarf as a hairband after you guys asked me after my Japan trip.
So here goes!
I have made two (super amateur-ish) videos to demonstrate how to tie the scarfs.
And the hairstyle you’re looking at is the one that I’ve gotten from Salon Vim.

I hope you like the videos! :)

And the sponsor of my outfit is The Style Diary. Thank you girls! :)

I hope you like my new hairstyle by Salon Vim (WOOHOO!) and also love the videos I made you.
I really love scarfs and I hope you will also have fun playing with your scarfs. :)

Till next time!
