I feel really awful now.
I feel so, so helpless.
Everything doesn’t look good.
I really want to make everything good.
I promised myself that I will work hard.
And I thought I have reached a fair and reasonable compromise with my younger brother.
But I am really disappointed in him.
I really am very, very disappointed.
And if I am already so upset, I cannot imagine how hard it will be for my parents -
how much more tears they have cried and pain they have felt whenever my brother disappoints us.
Sometimes when I want to make it work, I am utterly afraid.
Because I am really very tired and jaded.
I don’t want him to waste all the time and effort that he has put in for the last few years.
But I really don’t understand how should I do it.
And I don’t know what else to do.
I don’t understand him, as much as he doesn’t understand us.
We are really not asking for much.
Respect. Determination. Honesty. And the ability to differentiate right and wrong.
I believe if he wants to do it, he will definitely be able to do it.
In fact for someone as street-smart as him, he can achieve a lot more than what he has now.
All, if he would muster the courage and determination to make a change and put his heart into it.
Dad is not well too.
I went to a friend’s father’s wake last week.
And I felt really sorry for his loss.
We read about deaths and accidents on the newspaper everyday, but until it happens to us,
we’ll never be able to understand the grieve I guess.
Sometimes, I’d imagine what life would be like if my parents are not around anymore.
Just the mere imagination of losing them can leave me teary-eyed.
People always take too long to realize the importance of family.
Friends and lovers come and go, but it’s the family who will stick to you through thick and thin.
They are the ones who would do anything to make sure you are not hungry.
And they are the ones who truly hope that you will do well in life,
and have your own happy family in future as well.
“Blood is thicker than water”, they don’t say this for nothing.
I am not a good writer, sometimes I even have problems trying to express what I want to say.
But all I want to say is, it will never be too late to realize the importance of family.
And it is also never too late to realize our mistakes & to return to the right path.
It is okay to fall down and make mistakes.
The true test is whether you can pick yourself up to try harder.
Philson, if you are reading this, please bear what I told you in mind.
I may not be your best friend and I might not be the person who understands you best.
But I am your sister since 16 years ago and I will always be your sister until we leave this world.
We are all trying to encourage you and we all want the best for you.
Our parents are not the most eloquent people around, they don’t know how to tell you how they feel.
But they are always expressing their love in the most subtle ways -
like making sure you won’t go hungry, making sure you have enough rest before school,
waking you up at 7am every morning when they can actually sleep until noon,
giving you their trust and keep wanting to give you another chance,
keeping each and every birthday card or Mothers’ Day card from you deep in their bedside drawers.
Please do not say that you are not fit to be in this family.
If you are not fit, then no one also will be fit enough to take your place.
Because there is only one Philson and nobody can replace you in our hearts.
We have all tried and did our part to try to help you and encourage you.
But all these effort will go down the drain if you don’t want to make things happen.
Because ultimately, this life is yours.
And where this life will take you to in future, is all dependent on what you do now.
All these may sound far-fetched and distant to you now, but you will soon understand in time.
But you are a smart person & I am certain you will know what you should do now.
It really breaks my heart when you lie to me,
because I want to be the person you can talk to if you have problems.
I want to give you my trust, but you need to earn my trust through your actions.
Don’t bear grudges against your teachers in school or our parents when they scold you.
Like you, we are humans too. We get angry too.
And it is very upsetting and frustrating when you always let us down time after time.
And even more depressing when you choose not to give us your respect.
Like what I said, the best way to take revenge is to do well in school,
and show your teachers, and everyone else, that they were all wrong about you.
Everyone has problems.
And they won’t be called problems if they can be resolved easily.
I didn’t do well in school as well.
And I don’t want you to be on the same path as me because
it really is very lonely if you are still in school after your friends have graduated.
People might laugh at you, look down on you or make fun of you,
but don’t get mad.
Just make sure you do better than those people in life next time.
Then, they will laugh at themselves and look down on themselves the next time they see you again.
Let this be your final lap.
Finish it fast, finish it good.
Whenever you feel like giving up, or feel tired, look at this letter again to encourage

Hello all.
The Lunar New Year is just round the corner & everyone has been scrambling around shopping for clothes.
As for me, my wardrobe is seriously bursting and Mom has been nagging me endlessly.
Thus, here is another round of sale for my preloved items.
Some are totally new though, do take a look at some of these items I no longer wear (or can no longer fit).
Do leave a comment if you’re interested.
Remember to leave your email address behind too!
Based on a first-come-first-serve basis, I will email everyone who’s interested.
But the items will go to the first one who makes payment.
Thanks! Read the rest of this entry »

We have all been waiting for my Botox review!
I took the Botox treatment about 3 months ago at Atlas Medical

I was out with a few friends yesterday and we started talking about how weird some people can be.
And Denys told us the case about Armin Meiwes, a German cannibal who used the internet to find his victims.
It didn’t happen too long ago – it was just in 2001.
He posted an advetisement at a website called The Cannibal Cafe,
stating that he was looking for a well-built 18 to 30 year old to be slaughtered and then consumed.

Lovers in love, are you guilty of being unromantic?
When I was younger, I remember my Mom telling me that men
who love to eat sweet stuff are always more romantic that those who doesn’t.
The star sign experts also claim that there are some signs that are more romantic than the others.
Well, I don’t buy any of that.
To me, I believe that everyone can be romantic.
Being romantic doesn’t always revolves around getting expensive gifts,
or setting up surprise candlelight dinners.
It’s easy to show you love, and sometimes just a small gesture can let your loved one be the happiest person.
We are often caught up with our endless work commitments.
Sometimes when you’re together with someone for too long a period,
you might subconsciously take that person for granted too.
So here is a little nudge for everyone out there.
Read these little suggestions on how you can put a smile on your loved one’s face, and try them today!

The weekend is here and I love the weekends.
It’s a good time to just put everything down (including my hair) & just have fun!
The weekends have also become increasingly precious after Buttons moved in to the hostel.
And we finally get to meet up to enjoy our all-time favourite Balestier Boon Tong Kee.

That’s what we’ll usually order when we’re there.
And because we’re such regulars there, some of the waiters can even memorize our orders!
He loves breast (meat :p) & I hate it.
But we are all hopelessly in love with the Sambal Kang Kong there.
It’s totally, totally awesome stuff!!
We also took the chance to catch a concert at Esplanade.
It was a performance by Singapore Symphony Orchestra & The Tang Quartet.
Well, I’m not exactly a fan of such concerts, but it’s nice to be wherever Buttons is.
But fortunately, he rewarded me with a beer after the concert – so it’s all worth it. :p
Dinner was at another of our all time favourite Thai Express, and sweets were from Max Brenner.
Yummy yummy!

Welcome here, Monday.
I’m a happy girl this week because the last week has been quite a good one.
The weekend was just awesome!
I finally got my dosage of Buttons and I think the absence really made us a little crazier in love.
And I’m missing him dearly as I’m speaking now. ?
Look a bit swollen in this picture below though, because it was taken after a night of crying.
Ahem, but I’m all good now girls! :)
I heart Buttons.

We had lunch at The Garden Slug and I absolutely love their food.
The staff are all friendly and interesting, and the best thing is that they are LGBT friendly.
We need more of such places in Singapore so that everyone will be happy wherever they go!

I’ve been feeling REALLY blue for the last couple days.
Having problems with school, at home, with boyfriend and stuff.
But I guess things are pretty much settled (or looks like will be settled) for now.
And just wanna say thanks to all readers who sent me really encouraging emails. :)
You guys are really nice. Big hugs!
I went for a laser treatment at Atlas Aesthetics today.
And it was pretty awesome, my skin really feels a lot brighter after that!
Not bragging, will blog about it soon.
But the good thing is, my skin has really been good to me recently.
No major breakouts (fingers & toes crossed) and even blackheads haven’t been popping out as frequently.
And I’m seriously less horrified when I see my naked face in the mirror.
And my secret?
It’s not some new skincare product, or treatment.
SIMPLY drink more water and DON’T PUT ON ANY MAKEUP!
Seriously, I’ve heeded the Phillip Wain consultant’s advice,
and for the last few weeks I didn’t touch my foundation at all (except when I’m going out for major events).
I have started a new habit of using a sunscreen too.
When I head out, I just make sure I use the sunscreen and then dust loose powder over it.
That’s me without a trace of makeup!
P.S. I love my nails!

Now it has been a couple weeks and I’m really really thankful I did that!
Okay my skin is not exactly flawless now but it is really LOADS better than before.
*beams*
Previously, I’d use liquid foundation wherever I go.
The coverage is really good and my skin will look flawless
(that’s when all the readers assume that my skin is awesome).
But the truth is, my skin really isn’t good at all.
I use the liquid foundation to cover up pimple scars, but the foundation stresses out the skin,
and POP POP POP comes more pimples.
It’s really a vicious cycle.
So girls, please drink more water, sleep more and remember “less is more” with makeup! :)
Let’s work towards clear skin together!
Alright, all the nagging aside, I got a couple new buys I wanna share with you girls!
I bought this really cute ring that says LOVE, and it’s from Diva if you’re wondering.
That’s the one friendly and awesome accessories shop I love, there’s always something for me there.

I got these awesome and adorable pink crystallized earphones online too!
Sadly, the quality isn’t as good as the original Apple ones.
But they are really pretty. And I’m willing to trade quality for beauty.
I’m shallow but I’m happy!

And if you still don’t know, I’m actually quite a Sex and the City fan.
For the last few sleepless nights, I re-watched Season 6 of the drama.
I have to admit that all those watching has reminded me of how AWESOME those SATC ladies are.
And when I opened my mailbox today, I got a big gift!
Happiness really comes in the mailbox sometimes. *wink*

Okay I ordered this necklace online few weeks ago and it finally reached me this morning!
It is handmade all the way in Israel (or somewhere in its vicinity) and it’s such a darling.
I’ve been wanting to find these customized necklaces in Singapore but to no avail.
So this one really made my day.
Now I can continue imagining that I’m Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City.
HAHA!

I’m thinking of making another one that says SIXPEGS, should I?
I’m also invited to the Tat2 Convention 2010 which will be held at Expo over this weekend.
I AM THRILLED!
I missed the first convention which took place last year, but I’m so glad I’ll be going for this one!
The organizers mentioned that I’ll be able to do interviews for the artists!!
And did I mention that Chris Garver from Miami Ink and Kim Saigh from L.A. Ink are here in Singapore?
I’m gonna go put my tongue stud back on just for this fabulous event!
AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

If you’re feeling lonely, this poem is for you too:
Lonely are the nights
Lonely are the days
Lonely am I, in so many ways
Lonely are the seasons
Lonely are the years
So lonely am I, that it brings tears.
Lonely is this place
Lonely is my life
Lonely am I, that I reach for a knife
Lonely is this court room
Lonely is my sentence
So lonely am I that I ask for repentance.

I’ve decided to start the post with these pictures because the colours are really pretty!
These talented young men (my boyfriend included) are giving people orgasms with their music.
And even as a voluntary photographer, it gives me great pride. :p
My Buttons looks fabulous in his smashing new grey suit.

I was wearing this GORGEOUS dress I bought from Thailand at the event.
But unfortunately, I just realised that I didn’t take any pictures of myself that night.
(Damn.)
Oh well, another time then.
I met up with Liying today!
I really love meeting up with her because it’s just so fun talking to her. ?
And our conversations can be about just ANYTHING, really comfortable with her.
We’ve got more photos on her camera but let’s just make do with this one taken on my phone.
(sorry I look kinda horrible)

The meetup was pretty short though, because Liying gotta rush off somewhere.
And I gotta hang out alone after she’s gone.
But fret not, no girl will feel lonely if she is in town!
After she left, I entertained myself by shopping alone.
I actually really enjoy shopping alone because you don’t have to wait for anyone,
you don’t have to go to the toilet when you don’t need to pee,
and even if you need a second opinion, you can just ask the shop assistant!
Not that I don’t love shopping with my friends, but shopping alone really isn’t that bad.
I had a fresh french manicure and bought lots of junk and accessories.
And by the time I was done with shopping, Buttons came to pick me up! :)
(Buttons rocks.)

I wore a new top from The Look Shop and it’s wonderful!
I love huge tops because they’re so so comfortable to be in.
Freaking love the denim of this one too as it’s not as tough as regular denim.
Buttons and I had ?? from Rochor area.
And as he was waiting for me to finish eating, he started fooling around with my phone,
and took a lot of random pictures of me!
We were scrolling through the pictures together, and when we came to one of the pictures,
we LAUGHED OUT LOUD simultaneously.
I thought it’ll be nice to present it in the format of a comic strip. :p
(Anyway, big thanks and hugs for reader Shiqi for introducing this photo software to me!)

And this only reminds me of a song that goes -

HAHAHA.
I know this is a little mean, but I thought it should be okay since that lady’s face cannot be seen.
But anyway, I’m really kidding about Buttons wanting to take a picture of that crack.
It was totally accidental okay!
Buttons loves big butt, and he only loves mine.

Welcome to the first Sunday Advertorials for the brand new Year of 2010.
To usher in the new year, I’ve came up with a new header for the advertorials.
And I really love how this one look, I hope you’re loving it too! :)
I only have 3 shops lined up this Sunday, but I hope you’ll love it the same anyway!
Please enjoy.

I haven’t been coming up with any “Top Ten” posts lately, but hold up!
I think this one is going to make everyone laugh at least a little.
Don’t know about you but I can get quite paranoid sometimes,
especially when it comes to looking after my belongings.
Even when we’re very careful, there are still pickpockets & thieves all around us.
So, it is also out responsibility to make sure we keep out valuables out of their sight.
Apparently, some of the other folks were even more obsessed about it.
They took one step further and came up with some of these awesome anti theft gadgets!
1. Anti Theft Lunch Bags
If you have inconsiderate and hungry-ghost like colleagues, please consider getting this.
The Sandwich bags contain green splotch marks on both sides of the bag,
so when a sandwich is packed in there, it looks as if it is old and rotten.

Oh. How time flies.
*coffs coffs*
2009 has finally ended.
This year hasn’t really been fabulous for me.
But to be honest, things could have been worse so I shouldn’t be too greedy.
School has been really gross & I am still as lazy as before.
(I will change.)
I hope this coming semester will truly be my last one in school.
Aside from all of these, there are still some really great things going on.
The girlfriends still love each other as much despite the decrease in number of meetups.
Thanks to all you readers, this blog has been my bread and butter.
Now I can even help support my family financially.
It makes me feel more worthy!
So I really want to take this opportunity to all who loves me by reading my blog.
My love life has been beautiful, too. ?
Despite the hiccups and the little arguments every now and then,
Buttons & myself are growing to accept and appreciate each other better.
The coming year is going to be an eventful & busy year for him,
and I truly wish the whole world will get to listen to the wonderful pieces he writes.
He has been nice to me, so you girls don’t have to throw stones at him.
My family, people around me and Maliboo have all been healthy.
Honestly, I think this is the most important thing.
At this point of time, I think my little brother would be the biggest worry in our family.
I really hope that things will change for the better in this coming year.
Everyone takes time to grow up.
Maybe he just need a little more time and guidance.
Now the bad thing is, I think I have put on so much weight this damn year!
And one of my new year’s resolutions is to get back my old body again.
I’d always look at those pictures taken when I was still a skinny bitch, and whine.
I hope it’ll all end this year.
I want to have long hair.
And this time, I am really determined.
I can smell my determination.
And, I really really want to complete my degree.
I hope this coming 2010 will be a fruitful and exciting year for everybody.
Love yourself and love the people around you. ?
And Buttons, sleep and accompany me more. Hee.
Happy New Year, everybody.
