I saw my friend's nipples.

December 31st, 2009 by sixpegs

I had a bad nightmare last night.

I dreamt that Buttons cheated on me with a friend of mine.
To be honest, I was pretty upset.
I always thought that this particular friend of mine is a very nice girl.
But I cannot imagine why she wants to sleep with my boyfriend.
Thank God she’s not one of my besties,
if not I’ll really be devastated.

Female friend, if you’re reading this, watch out.
You can run, and you can hide from me,
but I’ve seen your nipples.

To the rest of you out there, Happy Year 2010.

P.S. I’m not crazy. I know it’s just a dream. And I still love my girlfriends. Hahaha!
P.P.S And Buttons insisted that I’m lesbian. “You want to see her nipples, that’s all!”

Whatever.

Phillip Wain with Mommy.

December 31st, 2009 by sixpegs

I made another trip to Phillip Wain in hopes leading a healthier lifestyle.
And this time round, I’ve gotten my Mommy with me!

It was a really great experience with me this time, especially with Mommy’s company.

I love it when I see my Mommy unwinding and feeling great.
This time round, Mommy received a Ginseng Spa Treatment and she really loved it.
According to her, the spa treatment was relaxing and rejuvenating,
and even the scent of Ginseng makes her feel relaxed and lifted!
I think going to treatments and spas together is a great bonding activity for us!
At the end of the day, we both felt healthier and were both glowing (literally and figuratively!)
I think this is a great Christmas gift for my beloved mother.

Little Red Dress.

December 29th, 2009 by sixpegs

Okay this is not an advertorial but a personal call-out.
My cousin saw this dress on On Cloud Nine & REALLY loved it!
But it’s SOLD OUT because their business is really good,
and I reckon everyone’s going out to grab red dresses for Chinese New Year.

So the question is, you girls see any other blogshops that sell the same thing?

Merry Christmas to everyone.

December 27th, 2009 by sixpegs

I hope all of you had a great Christmas celebration.
To be honest, I love and hate this time of the year.
It’s great because we all get to gather with friends, snuggle up and have fun talking and sharing.
And I hate it because a new year is going to begin, and I’m always daunted by new beginnings.

No one can stop the flow of time though, so we can only try to embrace every single moment.
For this Christmas, I enjoyed the company of my dearest friends and Maliboo.
We all gathered at Sinsin’s house for a nice BBQ and catch-up session.
It was simply splendid!
Buttons and I made sushi for the rest, and (fortunately) they loved the sushi! :p

Dear Talented Mr Buttons,

December 26th, 2009 by sixpegs

Yes, I'm in the Apple Club, again.

December 23rd, 2009 by sixpegs

And so, I bought the iPhone instead.
I’m loving it so far.
There are a couple Apps that can only be used on an iPhone,
so I hope there will be much much more to gain as compared to the iPod touch.

Here’s a picture of Buttons and me on my phone.
It’s the first picture taken by my phone, so let’s immortalize it here on my blog.

It was taken using an Apps called “Polarize”.
Oh by the way, are there any other kickass MUST-HAVE Apps that I have to download?
I’ve gotten the WhatsApp already and it seems pretty cool.
Thanks in advance, saviours! :)

Apple or Berry?

December 22nd, 2009 by sixpegs

Not soon after the other Mr Orange and Mr Green decided that Mr Red
shouldn’t be benefiting from the craze of iPhones solely,
they indirectly declared war by setting up a throat-slitting competition for the mobile data plans.
Each of these new competitors encouraging consumers to “JOIN ME” for better plans and better coverage.

But seriously, that’s not really our problem.
I reckon we’re all contented, because we can all happily get our hands on an iPhone now,
regardless of which telecommunications company you’re subscribed to.
And consumers only stand to benefit as the sneaky fights continue to happen between the providers.

Now, a new problem arises – the new war is between our dear Apple and good ol’ Blackberry.

(I don’t know why they all like to name their products or companies after fruits)

Honestly, I am itching to get my hands on an iPhone too since Starhub has finally decided to bring them in.
But the problem is, I already own an iPod Touch.
And as far as I know, the iPhone and iPod Touch is similar in
almost every other aspects except the camera and surfing functions.
I am pretty sure I’m not the only one who is torn between a BB and an iPhone now.
I’m also aware about the new launch of Blackberry Bold 2 which is totally awesome looking!

So to find out more about the differences between these two powerful tools,
I asked my best friend Google.

With materials taken from here and here, here is a summary report:

Best for Applications – iPhone
Best for Design – iPhone
(to be honest, I think BB Bold is gorgeous too)
Best Battery Life – Blackberry Bold
Best for Emails – Blackberry Bold
Best Operating System – iPhone
Best for Gaming - iPhone
Best for Business – Blackberry Bold

Honestly, I’m torn.

Will the supporters of iPhone and Blackberry please stand up and say something?

Buttoned up for Bangkok.

December 20th, 2009 by sixpegs

The trip to Bangkok was shiok shiok shiok indeed!
My mother always ask me why I like to go Bangkok so much.
Well, it’s because of the cheap beer, great food and massages and all the amazing things to shop for there!
And this time with Buttons, it was really a great deal of fun too!

We reached there on Saturday night and immediately went to meet Button’s friend, Samuel at Siam Paragon.
It was kinda embarrassing because Buttons and I were dressed super shabbily,
and we were dragging our luggage all over the place in Siam Paragon.
Freaking looking like we’re ?? people!

Samuel brought us to this cafe called Greyhound Cafe in Siam Paragon.
What else can I say?
Buttons and I fell in love with the food there!
I hereby conclude that Buttons and I have been eating rubbish food for the whole of our last Bangkok trip.

The food there was really good.
Presentation was fabulous too!
They like to compare it with P.S Cafe in Dempsey Singapore,
except that the service and price there is much better as compared to P.S Cafe.
I love the Light Tom Yum Soup served with raviolli & Iced Milk Tea.
The ice cubes in the Iced Milk Tea are actually tea cubes!
This is a great place if you like fusion cuisine.

I'm sorry, Maliboo.

December 19th, 2009 by sixpegs

I’m writing this with a heavy heart.
Maliboo has a diarrhoea and has been scrambling to the toilet since morning.
And I think she pooed so much that her stools now have a tinge of blood in them.
I hope she’s feeling okay and not suffering from horrible tummy aches! :(
I shouldn’t have fed her the greasy meat.
I’m gonna bring her to the vet tomorrow morning.

I’m such a terrible mummy.

I hope she gets well soon!
*goes back to love Boo*

Back from Bangkok.

December 17th, 2009 by sixpegs

Hello all.
I’m finally back from Bangkok.
My blog has been awfully quiet for the last few days due to the lack of activities.
But I’m glad that I didn’t lug my laptop all the way to Bangkok though,
Buttons and I bought SO MUCH stuff that our luggage got really heavy!
Buttons went to his favourite tailor over there and is now a happy man with 3 new suits. :)
As for me, I didn’t buy much as usual but spent a lot of money on food and beer.

Buttons and I almost missed our plane back too.
Phew.

More updates when I’ve got all the photos uploaded! :)

December 12th, 2009 by sixpegs

Buttons and I will be heading to Bangkok in just a few hours’ time.
So just wanna do a last minute check here with fellow readers -
other than the typical places we always visit, are there any other good recommendations
on where to go for good bargains, good food or good and cheap massages?

Thanks in advance for all the tips!

P.S. By the way, Xiaxue is getting engaged! So exciting. Congrats Wendy! :)

At last.

December 11th, 2009 by sixpegs

It has been really fruitful though!

Phillip Wain pampering sessions.

December 8th, 2009 by sixpegs

I visited Phillip Wain again for the second time couple weeks ago.
And this time round, it’s treatments and more pampering treatments for me!
I have always been very concerned about my acne scars because they take forever to heal.
And by the time they heal, new ones will pop out in no time again.

So the consultants at Phillip Wain assessed my skin and recommended me the Ultra VPL Define treatment.
It works well for lightening acne scars, pigmentations and helps to rejuvenate the skin.
It also helps to stimulate collagen production in the face and
thus helps our face to appear tighter with just one treatment!

I also tried out their Sparkling Eye Therapy which uses
electro-magnetic heating impulses to improve blood circulation around your eyes.
It activates eye contour cells and can reduce eye bags and reduce water retention in the eye lids.
The therapist will first cleanse and tone your face,
and then massage your eye area in circular movements using the Sparkling Eye machine.
After cleansing and toning again, warm eye masks are put on to help promote blood circulation.
The process is then completed with an eye cream.
This treatment can also help tighten sagging skin around the eye area!

BEFORE / AFTER Sparkling Eye Treatment

Note that in the AFTER (right) picture, the ends of the eye were slightly lifted.
You can see the effects of the lift from the eyelid part as well.
Even though the AFTER picture was much clearer than the BEFORE picture, fine lines were less visible.
And these effects were much much obvious in real life!

Here is a photo of me before and after Ultra Define VPL treatment.
My skin is really bad with the acne scarrings. Boo.
But notice that the lower jaw is a little tighter after the treatments,
and my skin is significantly brighter! :)

My face is VERY asymmetrical, so the therapist concentrated more of the collagen treatment on my right.
Noticed the difference yet?

A few days after my treatment, the scars did get lighter eventually.
The couple small zits that were originally “brewing” ceased to grow in horrible huge ones too.
I was also told that the treatment is also great for those with pigmentations like freckles and other spots.
The treatment helped saved me from another horrible breakout and controlled my acne situation a little,
and with the lessons I received from the helpful therapists at Phillip Wain,
I’m sure my skin will improve soon!

After my lil fine day at Phillip Wain, I had a homecooked meal at Health Juice Bar which totally made my day.
The bar prepared a delicious meal of ??? which I really loved eating – and it was really yummy!

I know you’re itching for more information about this AWESOME treatment already!

For more details on treatments at Phillip Wain, gym membership, or spa treatments,
do check out their website or give them a call at 6250 0100!

Sunday Advertorials.

December 7th, 2009 by sixpegs

This week’s Sunday Advertorials came a little late because my laptop decided to suddenly go bonkers.
And I had to do the blogging on Button’s laptop this week.
But nevertheless, I have still managed to come up with this week’s featured blogshops!
Out of the 6 blogshops this week, we’ve got 2 that are having their debut collections so do support!

?

The first shop this week is no other than Foggiare.
I love everything about this blogshop -
from their website design, shop design to model and of course their clothes as well!

Everyone always has this impression that the stuff selling at Foggiare
are very costly because they now have a physical shop.
But that’s not true at all!
The owners of Foggiare assures all shoppers that the prices of their items are comparable to other blogshops,
if not cheaper!

They have mailing list prices for members of the mailing list,
and postage prices are charged lower as well.
And the best part is, you can now even collect your item from the shop
if you don’t want to wait at your door for Mr Postman everyday. :p
On top of that, the Boutique prices entitles exchanges!

Let’s look at some of their items now.

You can now be a member when you spend $150 in a single receipt
and $200 in combined receipts (accumulated within 3 months).
Being a member, you will be able to enjoy their products at the lowest price.
Membership will last you a lifetime so you’ll have no worries about renewing your membership!
Foggiare will having lots of full manufactured posts in the near future, so stay tuned for them.

Lastly, do quote SIXPEGS to enjoy 15% off Boutique prices (mailing list price).

?

The second blogshop featured this week is having their debut collection.
And to be honest, I think this blogshop will really go far with the quality of their products!
Do visit Gipsy Scarlet if looking good if your kinda thing!

All their products are self manufactured and comes in limited pieces.
This way, shoppers will not run into many other girls wearing the same thing when you’re shopping in town!
Their apparels are inspired by designers and celebrities like the Hilton sisters,
Miranda Keer, Leighton Meester, just to name a few.
The girls at Gipsy Scarlet strive to keep their prices low but quality will not be compromised.

On top of that, their items are all exclusively imported from Korea!
(woo. I like..)

Shoppers can now join their mailing list by leaving their email or SMS to receive updates from them.
In their next collection, the Nicky Hilton bandage dress will be featured.
On top of that, watch out for the Ombre dress inspired by Betsey Johnson and LV nautical dress!

For the opening promotion, they are offering free next-day-delivery straight to the doorstep for shoppers who purchase 3 or more dresses! No more delayed parcels or lost mails! :)

?

Another blogshop making a debut this week would be Bold Beginnings.
Bold Beginnings is a great place for everything from casual to party dresses!

In their first collection, they have got a couple which are suitable for office as well.
And my favourite would be this beige frock which has such a beautiful cut!

If you want to be updated with what the Bold Beginnings have in store for you,
do not hesitate to be part of their mailing list here.
Do check them out, girls!

?

The next blogshop featured this week is the bright and girlie My Glamour Place.
This blogshop has such a apt name because if you wanna look glamourous, this is the place you shouldn’t miss!
Whether it’s for Christmas, Company dinners or Prom Nights,
My Glamour Place has a wide selection of dresses and tops that you’ll ever need!

My Glamour Place is all about defining femininity with style.
Here are some of the apparels from their latest collection, enjoy!

From now until 15th December, quote SIXPEGS for a 10% discount.

?

The next blogshop to be featured this week is Nico.C who is founded by Nicolette in early 2008.
Nicolette sources for her products from all over the globe and her favourite haunts are Korea, HK and Thailand!

Her favourite styles are clothes that are simple yet elegant, simply perfect for lazy days!
At Nico.C, style comes at reasonable prices!
“Affordable beautiful clothes make people happy, and happy people are the prettiest.”
Nico.C hopes to ignite people with the passion for dressing up!

?

The last shop featured this week is not exactly a blogshop.
Twinkle Nailz is a home based nail parlour owned by talented Jenny who is is really good with everything nails related!
Need more to be convinced? Check out her website for her works!
I’ve picked two of my favourites from her online catalogue too.

For this warm and fluffy Christmas season, Jenny has also designed this two designs for customers!
(trust me, they are REALLY adorable!)
These designs are made with stickers, crystals and other cute little nothings which will be perfect for X’mas.
The best part is, they are all available at really low prices.

At Twinkle Nailz, there are more than 100 different colors of polishes to choose from.
Classic Manicure is available at $18, Classic Pedicure at $28.
And if you want to pamper yourself, you can do both at a price of only $42!

Chick Corea.

December 6th, 2009 by sixpegs

Hello all.
I have been rather busy of late and thus didn’t have time to really blog as often recently.
But now that I’ve got more time on hand, I shall get down to giving my blog more life again!

I went to a Jazz Concert by Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White at Esplanade with Buttons today.
To be honest, I was totally clueless about who these people are before the concert.
But according to Buttons, they were really awesome and it’s a one night only concert so he’s dying to watch it.
We bought the tickets around 2 months ago and I was put in charge of the tickets.
Being such a mega klutz, I actually THREW the tickets away thinking that
it was tickets from another performance which we had already watch.
And I kept the other pair of old tickets!

So stupid!
Well, I was really upset as you can imagine!
And felt really bad because the tickets were quite costly as well.
Fortunately, we checked with SISTIC and realised that we can actually get them
to print another pair of replacement tickets at just $5/ticket!
And so,
