Linger on
July 23rd, 2008 by sixpegs
I got the chance to meet up with a friend from Manchester few days ago too.
I met her at Couchsurf and we arranged to meet up for a drink.
Her name is Katie and she was such a wonderful person to be with!
Sadly, I was too excited that day I didn’t bring my camera.
But I’m sure we’ll be meeting again for Little India before she goes home.
:)
Here is a little update on my little precious girl, Maliboo.
She has been quite a little headache.
Especially when she pees all around.
She is quite a fast learner, but when it comes to all that poop and pee business,
she’s really taking her own sweet time.
Whenever I’m alone at home with her,
I have to make sure I can hear the bell on her ringing.
If that ringing stops, well it could mean that she’s sleeping
OR CHEWING ON MY SHOE!
OR SCRATCHING SCOTCH TAPE OFF SOME BOXES.
This little rascal has brought lots of joy to my family though.
I am pretty amazed at the rate she picks up new tricks.
Pretty smart for a 3 month old I reckon!
:)
Her coat of fur got a little longer, and she looks kinda bigger now.
She has gotten much stronger too by now.
Because she can now hop right up to my sofa set!
It’s really driving Mommy crazy!
HAHAHA.
Here’s the little rascal’s latest picture -
And a new tag which states her name and my cellphone number.
(Just in case she decides that she has gotten enough of me one day)
Here’s the girl looking all sleepy already.
But she wakes up the moment she sees food!
GREEDY MALIBOO.
Here’s what the young lady will do when you say “UP”
What can I say?
Her body is looking all excited but her face looks bored.
I think I shouldn’t call her Maliboo.
Should have named her “Emo” instead.
Haha! Do I sound like an egoistic proud mama already?
I shall upload a video of Maliboo when I have the time.
:)
I caught “Fur” on DVD earlier.
It was an imaginary biography about Diane Arbus – a famous B&W photographer.
I was curious about what imaginary biography is.
A biography is a biography.
How can it be imaginary?
Well anyway, it was quite a slow but intriguing show.
Let us in about what the lady is all about I guess.
I remembered from the Black and White Photography class, when my tutor told us more about Diane Arbus.
She loves taking pictures of strange things.
Freaks. Twins. And odd looking people.
She is fascinated by them.
I like this picture of hers.
A skinny scrawny little boy holding a hand grenade.
And another hand all tensed up.
There is a sense of awkwardness in that boy, isn’t it?
I found from online the contact sheet of the photographs she look of the little boy too.And out of the many photographs shown there,
I think it is easy to tell the character of someone by the kind of photograph one likes.

try not to have the bell hang around the neck.. may look nice on her.. but it might affect her hearing in long term.. imagine blasting to the earphone 24/7… sooner or later will become “chao hee lang”..

are you serious? i don’t think it’s THAT serious actually. it’s just a bell and it’s not even loud. blasting to earphones 24/7 and listening to bells cannot be compared seriously. do bells sound to blasting music to you, retsel?

haha..i just had an evil thought of tying maliboo’s body to a string of empty coke cans..so that the sounds rattles quite a distance away from her ears as she walks u see..

it was acutally recommended by the vet.. was just quoting a example with the earphone.. ok..maybe i’ve exaggerate abit there, hahaha.. but the idea is somewhere there..
your puppy is still young, still in its growing stage.. so vets usually will not recommend to have such things on them, but the pet shop will, cause it bring in revenue for them.. :)
Even if the bell does not affect the dog’s hearing, if one day you decide to remove it, the dog might not react to its normal self as they have regard the ringing of the bell to be part and parcel in their lives..
hope you understand my point.. hope i do not sound like i have a thing against those cute bells..

alright thank you retsel :)
will remove it. but it means hunting for maliboo in the dark…..

haha it will be fun t hunt for her in the dark! (: my puppy follows me all the time.
hmmm i agree that the bell is not very good. imagine a constant ringing whenever u go. i tink maliboo hates the ringing, cos it always give her away, HAHA. and the bell may get her tangled and stuck in the home while playing. like the cage grilling, or places u wont noe. for me, my puppy dont wear any collar @ hm cos i tink it feels uncomfortable, i only put it on when im bringing her out!!! (:

hmm… my dog also wear a bell since a little puppy and she’s around 1.5yrs old now, everything perfectly fine. cnt do without a bell coz my dog reli walk without any sound and we alwiz accidentally knock into her when she’s following us behind, so dangerous.
