i have to admit that its a pretty nice song and the lyrics rocks most of all.
but after i realised that it was ACTUALLY a version to counter eamon’s “don’t want you back”, these two songs became a whole lot more interesting.

it has been a really hectic week!
photoshoots after photoshoots, filmings after filmings.
although we’re all busy with the shoots, we also had a great deal of fun!

perhaps i’ve told you personally,
or perhaps you’ve seen my face on channelnewsasia or CNN,

i am a msu 2007 finalist.
hehehehe.

it has been a roller coaster ride for me so far.
roller coaster ride because it is so far exciting, fun and what lies ahead seems to be even more exciting than what i’ve been through!

the semi finals was held at Oosh! at Dempsey Road last saturday.
thank god that heaven had mercy on us and held the downpour a little longer until the event ended. :)
it was a job well done for all the 23 semi finalists.

it has been a hectic day for the girls as well as the people who made it possible.
MUAs and stylists buzzing here and there to make sure they got the girls all dolled up,
programme organisers were all hyped up for the event,
and wardrobe, nannies, programmers were busy busy for the night.

of course, the girls had a nerve wrecking moment as well.
i can’t say it for all the other 22 contestants, but i’m definitely one “gancheong spider” that night.
however, despite all that shivers-provoking moments, the girls and i flashed our cameras diligently to capture that unforgettable night. :*)

it really warms my heart to see people i love standing by me, screaming for me.
the girls got me a soft toy flower, and recorded their voices in it.
it made me smile instantly the moment i heard their message for me.

in every competition,
there will always be winners.
but in my opinion, in this competition, all the girls are already winners.
we have conquered our fear of the stage, conquered the fear of strutting around in our bikinis.
we’ve celebrated the beauty and wisdom of women together.
and we are all winners.
cliche as it may sound, but i think all the girls, whether they are finalists or not, should feel very proud of themselves!
and i believe all the girls won one thing out of the competition – friendship.

because together, we shine brighter.

i spent my sunday mugging with miumiu at his place for my test on monday.
it has been a busy busy week for me.
and i foresee that the weeks ahead are going to be increasingly challenging.
the finals are in the middle of my exam period, and the rehearsals are going to take up alot of my revision time.
i’ve been trying hard to forcing myself to start revision for the upcoming exams asap.
if the other girls from the previous pageant can make it, so can i.

besides, i have a great pillar of support! :)

we had a fitting for our gowns today at mediacorp.
the gowns are really pretty!
it is really not as easy as it seems… walking down the stage confidently.
all the hard work, late night practices, and endless hours we spend polishing our catwalk skills.
you guys should all support the girls in MSU!
its an event where girls who dare to be different get together and share and grow together.
hehehehe.
okay i hope i don’t sound too granny.

YY, jessica and i happened to be wearing little black dresses today! :)

today is retail therapy day!

i went over to my modelling agency earlier today for a casting!
and head on over to Protrim at takashimaya for a good hair dye and hair treatment!

looking all snug and comfy! :)

i also watched “stomp the yard” starring ne-yo and chris brown!
it wasn’t as bombastic as i thought its going to be.
but i like the general genre of the movie.
dance, alot of action and movements to look out for. :)
anyway, i watched the movie alone because i had too much time to spare before i went over to meet jawslyn at bugis.

(its really nice catching a show alone actually)

but at the same time, i feel sad about the stereotypical vibes a girl give off.

today, i had a vocal and speech class.
and it was indeed a memorable experience for me.
it sets me back and made me think about life,
and what i want to do in future.
at many times, we are always caught in the rat race the society planted us in.
running from meetings to meetings, skipping meals to do more work,
doing what others deemed right
and always delivering ourselves in the politically correct manner.

how many of us actually have the time and opportunity to sit back in your comfy couch and analyse what exactly you want to achieve in your life?

the trainer today is a woman is has truly “been there done that”.
and she is an inspiration.
today, i really feel very proud about being a woman.
being able to stand up for ourselves and prove all the unfair stereotypes wrong.
i really look up to those who dare to make a difference in their lives.

hehehehe.

today i am truly inspired.

i was at the party at st james power station – power house!
hahahahahaha.
rossie, sindy and i were there to see MEN! LOL.
ok, my friend daniel hussein was one of the many guys in this event.
and he was kind enough to give us tickets! (yay!)

and we all got there to support him! :)
and i got to meet a new friend, destiny!
i’m sure many of you girls are going to find her familiar!
she is one of the MSU contestants 2 years back alongside ling and swyn! :D

anyway, when we were queueing up for the party,
this writer in CLEO approached us and wished that we could help out in this game!
and there’s FREE GIFT! HAHAHA!

we know NUTS about the game until we were all planted on the stage!

we were blindfolded, and there were 5 bachelors.
they apply some lip balm on their lips.
and KISS us on the lips!
and we’re supposed to guess the FLAVOUR.

miumiu is going to murder people if he sees another guy kissing her blindfolded girlfriend!
HAHAHAHA!

anyway, the guy who was supposed to “kiss” me was extremely kind and understanding!
lol.
he saw my sour face with that blindfold and i told him “can you not kiss me please?”
and he is so smart!
he pretended to kiss me on the cheek, but only told me verbally what the flavour of his lippie is.

the short stint on stage was definitely worth it!

YES! i’ve been slogging my weekend away at suntec city!
it has been a tiring 3 days for me. (i only worked 3 out of the 4 days)
but all for the money! sigh.
no choice! *sobs*

it is amkss reunion dinner today.
and congratulations to those who didn’t go.
IT WAS DOWNRIGHT BORING.
the best part is that i was able to catch up with a few ex classmates.
which was priceless.
erm. but i really hate the programmes for the night.
ANYWAY, i met up with miumiu for a short dinner or snack sort of thing before heading over to amkss.

it was good heading back to a place where i grew up in.
but the school has been renovated before.
so it doesn’t really feel home to me honestly. :(

i was the only girl who turned up among my classmates from secondary 2.
thanks to all my busy girlfriends!

i went zouk again last wednesday.
and DAMM i lost my phone again!
this time round, i think i dropped it in the cab.
i held on tight to my phone throughout the entire clubbing night.
tragedy doesn’t come alone.
it has to be in a series!
i feel miserable!

after i alighted from the cab, i found a FRESH TEN DOLLAR NOTE on the floor.
now i understand.
what goes around, comes around.

my complexion has been bad lately.
and it REALLY depresses me.
miumiu and i have derived with a “I WANT GOOD SKIN!” scheme!
i made a poster and i had it stucked on my noticeboard!

1 finish half a bottle of wter every morning when i wake up
2 avoid oily or deep frid food at all costs
3 cleanse skin well – 2 to 3 times a day
4 SLEEP EARLY!
5 exercise at least 3 times weekly
6 don’t put too much makeup. less IS more!
7 e x f o l i a t e ! i live by it!

i want good skin. and a new phone.
damm i hate myself.
