i think i’ve somewhat found a company for my internship.
and it somewhat calls for a celebration isn’t it? haha!
well, nothing is confirmed until i have submitted the forms to the school.
that’s why i used the word “somewhat”. hahaha!

i made a trip to battlebox at fort canning with dimpled jason today.
we set off pretty late and it rained. :(
fortunately, everything worked out as we’ve expected.

we love taking pictures!
so we roamed around fort canning in hope of taking beautiful pictures!
hehehe!

day well spent. :*)
but i hate the mozzie bites. (x_X)

there will be a bash this thursday at MOS organised by NTU student union.
and i love the theme very much!

it was a DAMM happening week! :*D

on the second day of chinese new year, i went clinic with miumiu and friends!
and darling lianie dear came along!

it was a pity that sindy dear and shiyin dear couldn’t join us due to the terrible crowd that night!

i look forward to another yummy girls’ night out!

i had another photoshoot with Asia Images again on friday!
this time, it was some lovey dovey photoshoot for a young couple with Edric.
The starhub guy! haha.

it was a joy working with erika, eugene, cedric and of course edric.

Friday evening – there was an event at Four Seasons Hotel for Canon Singapore.
and i was there too!
and so is lianie dear! hehehe!
the theme was actually for the chinese new year.
so we all donned ancient chinese costumes!
mmmm. interesting.

its really funny seeing everyone in ancient chinese clothings.
hahaha!
but for us, our outfits look rather hooker-ish.
like those olden times courtesan kinda robes.

nevertheless, some of the girls really nailed the look!
in my opinion, lianie dear looked FAB in it!
and trust me lianie dear, you look great with red lippie.

I did a little research on this mansion.
Built by William Napier in 1854, Istana Woodneuk, also known as Istana Tyersall, was given to Sultan Abu Bakar of Johor in exchange for his land at Telok Blangah.
He then had it rebuilt in 1892.
Sadly, the Istana caught fire in 2006 which was rumoured to have started from the main grand stairs in the hall.

I got a little sad after I checked out the beautiful pictures of the mansion before the fire.
The roof of the house in rich blue colour.
And some 150 years ago, this could probably be a sweet home to a rich family and their countless servants.

I can still see the glamour it used to have.

the third level is entirely burnt.
the blue tiles fro the roof were all crushed and shattered all over the floor.

this is probably one of the prettier toilets in the mansion.
perhaps the one that the owner onced bathed in?

at the grand entrance to the mansion that comes with a rich history.

firstly, happy lunar new year to all the chinese reading my blog!
and happy public holidays to the rest! :*D

it has been a hectic and tiring saturday for me.
but it was definitely a very fruitful one!

i had a photoshoot with lawrence, darrel and alex in the morning.
and i also had cindy who skillfully made me up for the shoot. :)
thanks to all for making the photoshoot possible.

the photoshoot was in this abandoned HUGE mansion near botanical gardens.
it is alleged to be some malaysian sultan’s old house, owned by the malaysian govt.
although it was old, burnt down and looks extremely rundown,
it is a gorgeous place – in certain aspects.

you will get what i mean soon.

the place was burnt down, and it takes around a good 10 mins to walk in from “civilisation”.
and the path in was a trail surrounded by trees and fresh orange soil.

during the shoot, there was dead silence.
and it really freaked me out at certain points of time.
it rained for a while before the shoot,
and the house has peeling walls and leaking ceilings.
every single creak of wood will make my heart skip a beat or two.
and i’m mostly supposed to appear very solemn in the shots.

lawrence told me he shot some white shadow in one of his pictures.
BRR!
haha. and i’m praying so hard i don’t see extra things as i scanned through these pictures.
lol.

i love the sombre atmosphere created in these pictures.
dead, serious, mysterious.
and in my opinion, every picture spells out a different kind of emptiness.

i’ve been cracking my head over the attachment matters these few days.
have been sending out alot of resumes but to no avail.
no replies. not even “fail to send” notices in my inbox.
calling out to the approximately 1200 readers who reads my blog daily,
if you are a civil engineer, or your dad, or your boyfriend, or your neighbour,
please help get me a place in a civil engineering firm.
i’m so tired of waiting for replies from the companies.

on a happier note,
it is valentine’s day soon.

happy valentine’s day folks.

no you don’t necessarily have to spend your valentine’s day with someone of the opposite sex.
because i enjoy hanging out with my girlfriends very much too.
so, appreciate the one beside you now.
make love, not war.

i received an email about a dinner at my secondary school for all the alumni members today.
and all the sweet memories from my secondary school days come surging to me all of a sudden!

i love everyone from secondary school.
i really do!
and i cherish having them in my life alot.

like how we used to countdown to every bell ring,
how we would hog the standfan after every PE class,
how we would gobble all our food asap bcos the last to finish have to clear the plates,
how we would walk past a certain classroom multiple times so that we can see that “him”,
how we foolishly poke a tiny hole on top of our mineral water bottles,
how we ran after buses together,
and how we watched each other grow up together.

i love them!

but i really hate growing up.

mmmm, but you still have to love the ones who accompanied you through this grueling process.
love each other!

lazy weekends are always be the best.
sunshine. chilled coke. warm sand. frisbee. good company. and being able to bump into elvin ng.

my saturday was definitely a darn good one.

it was my first time organising an otuing for reccos.
although the turnout was only so-so, i’ve had fun!
and i hope the rest had enjoyed themselves as well!

we managed to get berd out of his bed!
well, at least he’s snoozing outdoors now.
sunshine gives us vitamin D!

now why is everybody sleepy?!

here is really nothing much except for eating, frisbee-ing and pokering.

but that’s the whole point.
having nothing to do is the best thing to do. :)

it has been quite some time since i last made it to the beach.

i’m always lazy, scared of getting dark again, and no time to go all the way to the coasts.
but i’m glad i dragged myself out this time!

i really love lying around on the beach.
i love sipping cold coke (or beer!) when i’m the verge of dehydration!
i love slapping seaweed on miumiu’s body!
for a moment, i can truly forget about work and other problems.

as much as i know that i’m putting on weight, i refuse to do anything about it!
it is always like that for me,
alternating between fat days and skinny days.

and i think i’m definitely having my fat days now.

URGH!
i cannot stop eating!!
and the first place to get fat is my FACE!
then my arms! and tummy!

i did an event called “Miss Sassy” for “My Paper” yesterday.
with the other new face girls namely CJ, Nargis and Velda.
And check out that GRUESOME EXTRA PIECE OF FLESH ON MY ARM!
which appeared to be as thick as a THIGH if you compare it with CJ’s arm!
